December 20, 20232 yr A few airlines' logos stay in memory with you, from first sight, since encountered either in RW or in our (virtual) SIM. Though I've never travelled with Austrian Airlines, the unmistakable (stylized) Red Arrow on the fuselage of its a/c has always remained fresh with me, since the earliest days of my SIM. The iconic logo, patterned after the color scheme of the Austrian national flag, symbolizes an airplane taking off into the sky. In our SIMs, we might also recall flying the Austrian Airlines' DC-90 and MD-80 series airplanes...among its other Classic a/c... Regarding Austrian's current fleet, it has adopted an interesting strategy...Airbus A320 and A321 (narrow-bodies) on short-haul routes, and Boeing wide-bodies, B777/B767 and B787 (due soon), on long-haul. Nonetheless, it did operate 737s in its historical fleet, of which, this post illustrates one example. Please find this collection of images, below, of an Austrian 737-600, flying, in my virtual world, from the Port City of Bilbao, in Northern Spain, eastward to the 2nd-most populous City of Spain, Barcelona, in the NE corner of Spain. In between these two cities, lie, geographically, the majestic Pyrenees Mountain range straddling the border of France and Spain, and (effectively) isolating the Iberian Peninsula of Spain and Portugal, from the rest of Europe. The Pyrenees may be less known to non-Europeans, such as yours truly...๐...than its more famous sibling, the Alps, but it stands on its own merit, completely independent of Alps, as equally picturesque and beautiful. My 737 is flying over and across this impressive mountain range (see images below), including a (pilot-directed) detour...๐...above the snow-topped apex of the tallest of the Pyrenees, the Pico Aneto... (seen in my shot #15 (or shot #6 from end)) ...ย Hope you enjoy these images. Thanks for viewing.
December 20, 20232 yr All are really nice shots, but #8 from the bottom is the one my eyes really lingered on.

Yes, agree, even the tiny bodies of water, on the ground, reflect sunlight so hard and so impressively in MSFS, that it gives a magical feeling to the ambience...
