September 24, 20232 yr Here's how to tell for sure. 1) The cable. The V2 cable has a little control box in the middle of it with an on/off switch. That switch is missing on the V1 control box. 2) BUT you may have the new V2 cable but also the old V1 headset. HP sold lots of units like that: old V1 headset with new V2 cable in the box instead of the old V1 cable. So here's how to tell if the headset itself is the V2 version. The one on the left is the V2 version. Notice the raised area around the 2 holes at the top. September 24, 20232 yr Author To be more clear, both the V1 and V2 cables have a control box in the middle of the wire. The V2 cable's control box has a push button on/off switch. September 25, 20232 yr I think the v2 had modestly improved tracking too, from what I read at it's release. Not sure if it's head and / or hand
