X-Plane 12: AI traffic and wake turbulences

Featured Replies

When I did this video, only the original builtin AI traffic of X-Plane generated wake turbulences (as it did since "decades"). It was planned that in X-Plane 12 also addons like Livetraffic, Vatsim etc. should generate wake turbulences - now since 12.04 it works. I don't remember having seen anything similar anywhere else. It's lightyears ahead TM 😁 ... ahem ... AI traffic ahead, generating wake turbulences.

As far as I know default AI, World Traffic and LiveTraffic all make use of XP's wake turbulence system.

P.S: If you happen to get into wake, please keep your feet of the rudder pedals.

P.P.S: What on Earth was that C172 fueled with that enables it to almost keep up with a jetliner?

not in the documentation afaict, but you have to set the positional vx/vy/vz when using position/x/y/z to set the location (all works automatically when using relative positions).
