December 5, 20223 yr So I mainly use Sim Brief to plan my flights and use AS for my weather. One thing I always have trouble with is knowing what altitude is best to fly at based on winds and turbulence. I mainly just use the recommended altitude from the FMC which might mean I encounter some bumps. I mainly use live weather, but will sometimes use custom or historical weather. So is there an easy way to see what the winds and turbulence are like at specific altitudes. I'm trying to learn how to read weather maps, but I'm still so confused. I mostly know what symbols mean, but I don't know how to relate that to what my route should be and what weather I need to avoid. Thanks Jason Thiers
