August 16, 20223 yr MS said it will be 'at least a year' after initial release before they will start charging for Win 11. That release was Oct. 5 2021. So free upgrades will last until 'at least' until Oct. 5 of this year. And maybe longer. It may pay to try and upgrade now where there is still time to test it.
