July 22, 20214 yr Author I should add, this is a new issue that's been observed. More information will no doubt surface in the comming days. Including veracity of the claims, which cards are affected and how common the issue. So far it looks like high end cards like the EVGA 3090.

July 23, 20214 yr Author Buildzoid looked at this issue and had some interesting opinions. He seems to think that yes, the game could generate power demand spikes, but Nvidia don't seem to implement OCP properly. The components are there on the board but not fully configured. Speculation on his part but an interesting perspective.
July 24, 20214 yr Author The leaks are from early engineering samples, so hopefully performance, including power draw will improve further.
October 2, 20214 yr Author Be careful people, if you have this game. Aparently it's still bricking cards. And not just 30 series and not just EVGA.
