When doing a long flight... What do you use and why/when?

I tried the Sim Rate and it does not work with AP. Disengaging AP can have you end up considerably off course or altitude and then ATC will be nagging you and even terminate your IFR. And it’s also not clear what speed multiple you’re at and how to get it back to normal speed. Any tips for using this?

 

I use Sim Rate. I press R then two lots of ctrl +. If I try another ctrl + then the AP goes into oscillation on altitude. Works fine with two lots of ctrl + but obviously the plane does not fast forward so quickly. Never had an issue with it going off course. I tend to use it >FL100 with the A320.

Doh... you're right... when I first looked at it, it was on my mobile and I couldn't tell where the link sent me.  But yes, that site is great!

Has anyone got the Travel To to work inside the game - both times I have tried it just locked up.

I tried it once after the game first came out and it never reloaded.  I had to quit the game and start over.  I wonder if it works now?
