November 8, 200619 yr Why? It's gone, vanished, disappeared, never to fully be seen again, a dead issue, there is no backup, there is no restore point, resurrection is not possible, RIP Phil Taylor thread.:):):):)Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
November 10, 200619 yr Is it just coincidence that there is a sticky post in the FSX forums with this quote:"From this point forward, we are going to simply delete and and all hardware, driver, ram, video card, hd partition, etc. etc. posts. No forewarning, not advance notice."Bruce
November 10, 200619 yr I think it is time to update the forum software to something more modern and up to date - something that can handle large number of user posts without eating up and swallowing whole threads alive.
November 10, 200619 yr The missing Phil thread has nothing to do with the software that this forum operates; it has to do with the SQL database that it operates from. The Phil thread "disappeared" when we had a problem with the SQL database on Sunday (or Saturday, I don't remember frankly). We had to do some maintenance on that database caused by the FSX user survey and during that maintenance a number of threads disappeared, including Phil's. However, if you read this thread, that message was saved and reposted here, so it was not lost to the forum after all. No conspiracy; no evil intent.... no more than a simple issue with a database.
November 10, 200619 yr Yes, I'm glad Phil's main post was preserved. That was the most important out of the thread.
