August 22, 20205 yr I currently have the MS Sidewinder Precision Pro Joystick, But the new flight sim cannot add any controls and its all to be done manual, Not knowing what most of the controls are apart from Flaps, brakes and the rest of the easy stuff, I think i need to buy a joystick that MS recognise's Can anyone recommend a Budget Joystick thats equal to the MS Sidewinder Precision Pro Joystick. I just need a plug and fly joystick that needs no setting up. Thank you for any help

August 22, 20205 yr Dunno about that new one, but the new MS sim picked my one up straight away (and does have a pic of it on the controls interface with all the buttons mapped on the image) so all I had to do was tweak a few axis sensitivities. It's clearly 'built to a price' in being the low cost that it is, but you can see it has some good features from that vid (works on a console as well, has a small desktop footprint, can split into two separate controllers). It's very good for the money. I would buy one again. Edited August 22, 20205 yr by Chock Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
August 22, 20205 yr Author Thanks Chock, The one in the Video is now discontinued and its now Hotas 4 at around £80 and thats about my limit since its cost me over £400 so far with Graphics Card, Power supply, Upgade to windows 10 plus the game at £110, I dare not tell the wife!!!! I managed great on the Sidewinder when playing the FSX, But sad to see that its not picked up by FS2020, So it looks like another £80 that i had not budgeted for, Getting to be an expensive hobby, But i need it and it should set itself up with plug and play. Thank you for your help
August 22, 20205 yr I just picked up the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro yesterday from Amazon. Unfortunately it was only in stock for a little while. It was $35. I want the Thrustmaster Airbus but it has been out of stock pretty much since they announced it and hitting refresh on its Amazon.com page for weeks has brought me no joy, hence the Logitech. I'll likely keep the Logitech and just add foot rudders later on, though I saw a video about how to use my old Logitech racing wheel pedals, so I will give those a shot first. Good luck!
August 22, 20205 yr Author Also thinking about Thrustmaster T.Flight which is only the Stick and half the price, I can buy that on amazon

Thank you for your help it is really not so hard to assign the buttons etc.
August 22, 20205 yr I too have MS Sidewinder and I assigned the keys to it and works. Don't waste money, there is a you tube video about how to assign keys to your H/W Easy Peacy Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
August 22, 20205 yr Author I did assign the basics, But it needs set up really , Shame the my old joy stick wasn't among the ones that are reconised
August 22, 20205 yr Author I will be mainly flying the 787. So need to set the joy stick for that. Will Follow the Video and see how i get on , I think its the list on different buttons scared me.
