May 29, 20206 yr Interesting. My temperatures when performing a benchmark for a sustained period of time, even with MCE, were low (~60c). I'm using an ASUS board, which likely explains my lack of elevated temperatures since they appear to have one of the less aggressive enhancement configurations.

And what would you consider a safe and conservative OC that every i9-10900K can reach? I'm assuming 5.0GHz will be no problems? I'll preface my overclocking statement by saying that I only have experience with a single 10900K, and there are a bunch of folks more knowledgeable on the subject than I am. Based on my experience and results I've seen from reviewers on YouTube It seems that a stable all-core 5.0 GHz is widely attainable with an AIO cooler 240mm and up. I've actually seen reviewers get 5.2 GHz on a 280mm AIO, but I take a very conservative approach to overclocking.
May 30, 20206 yr That sounds very promising then. I have a 360mm AIO, hopefully that will allow me to run at 5.0 - 5.2GHz all core with decent temps. With my current 8 yr old setup, I am running an i7-3770k OC to 4.5GHz at 1.26V and when using P3D I notice my max temp gets to about 85-86C. with it averaging around 70C. It runs P3D at 58-59C with rare spikes to no more than 63C. I am using an old medium size Noctua air cpu cooler. The room I operate in is 65-69 F. I only got to 80C when stress testing. You might want check your thermal paste and airflow. I had a 2600k @ 4.8 with 1,34v that didn't hit those temps. You need more airflow in your case, make sure there is no dust build up, and possible reapply your TIM. If none of that works I would drop the clocks down a little. the voltage is fine.
