TFDi 717 is a nice plane for the Reverb with friendly fps

Featured Replies

Today I enjoyed in my search for a "friendly" fps plane the TFDi-717 for P3Dv4 and made a comfortable flight over the Austrian Alps from Slovenia Ljubljana  ( LJLJ) to the all mighty ORBX LOWI with nearly all settings high and 8xSSAA. but most important, the whole flight with high settings above 30fps. (34 average)  I know, nothing compared with the 90/90 I get in Aerofly but if you want to fly P3D with the Reverb in high settings, you are lucky to reach 30fps with an airliner  without dialing all the eye candy down. The only thing I ruled out when flying VR is shadows. What a surprise by the way, these little airliner coming out as a crossing model between the old DC9 and MD80 series with super modern avionics.

The 737NGX and the 64bits MD82-88 Maddog are also running fine but for now, this little one is the best for me and very challenging to fly properly. Because these nice one has also a some kind of built in Tablet who can display charts and maps, I can use it also for flying online in Vatsim projecting the radio frequencies etc. without putting off the Headset.

Oh, before I forget, here is my warning again for a good result with the 4K Reverb... I was using above 8Gb Vram (8.9Gb to be precise) so be aware of it... You need a beefy GPU with enough Vram.

Happy landings !!!

Hello simba_nl,

Glad you enjoy you're TFDi 717. You're right about it being a very nice addon as well as an interesting aircraft in real world. I think Boeing missed when they decided to cease production. I'm a life long DC9 fan myself.
