UGCX - So far, so good (slight quirks)

Been waiting on UGCX like so many for a while and it does not disappoint. Congratulations on the release.

I would like to add that I too am seeing the issue where the aircraft is pulling to either side on taxi. I'm using latest version of UGCX 1.2(also occurring in v1.0), PMDG NGX 737-800, P3D v4.5. I've tried with both user defined and default push back routing.

I've tried centring all controls, re-calibrating all axis etc to no avail. Using the default P3D or PMDG pushback features I'm not seeing the pulling issue when taxing.

Thanks.

Same Problem in FSX and PMDG 737.

Matthias

There is a noticeable slight pull to one side after the push back ..its as if the nose wheel hasn't fully straightened

So after the pushback has ended, you apply power and the you pull to one side because the nosewheel isn't totally straight.

Can somone make a video of this?

In V1.3, we're going to fire the "nose wheel" center FS event to ensure it's straight... but a video would be helpful...

I wouldn't have said it was windy, I belie I have Active Sky Ground speed set to '0'. I did think it might have been the wind pushing the plane around.

Thank you for the video.

That was helpful to actually be able to see it.

If you go to the out side view, is the nose wheel angled to the right?

I was able to do some more troubleshooting after making the videos and did notice the nose wheel was slightly right. Image link below.

I went onto trying to see if I could centre it using FS Events. After some time I was able to centre it using the ‘Steering Set’ event in FSUIPC Setting to parameter ‘0’.

Hi Simon,

Did "Centering" the nosewheel solve your issue?

Hi Bryan,

Performing the Event (Steering Set) as shown in FSUIPC resolved the issue. Would this be the same as "Centering" nose wheel? It sounds like the same thing???

Thanks

I already have it coded, with that KEY_STEERING_SET. It resets the nose wheel back to 0 degrees after the towbar is disconnected. So v1.3 has this already. Im doing some tests on the requested "finalize pushback" option so it doesnt pushbacks longer than expected.
