August 26, 20196 yr That's a problem with FSX. When you uninstall it or reinstall it, it does not delete the two most important folders that should be removed before a reinstall. I'm running out of ideas but have one more. Did you rename the logbook.bin to logbook.off to see if it is corrupted? It is located in your C:\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files. It will be rebuilt with the default if you rename or delete it. Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! I doubt that was the problem, but suddenly FSX has now been open for over an hour without crashes. I'll try a different flight, and if it crashes again, I'll switch to FlightGear.

One runs FSX flawlessly with the addons I installed. I haven't tested the other. FlightGear will be on my main computer.
