Thanks to VoxATC for preparation for real life flight following.

I just flew my first real life flight from KETB to KTVC (By way of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, as the rental agency does not allow transit of Lake Michigan). It was my first time using flight following (Traffic Advisories in VoxATC). The experience was made quite familiar by hours of simulated practice. I have to say the Air Traffic Controllers were a lot more user friendly as they would ask questions, or offer suggestions, instead of just repeating, “Say again.” However the routine handoffs were identical to VoxATC, and I truly found myself appreciating my time spent with the simulator.
