ATR72 Cockpit color Scheme.

Featured Replies

Just bought the ATR72 I notice there are subtle difference from the ATR42(i dont own the atr42 but i noticed it from other users on youtube)

The cockpit color on ATR72 is now more woody brown probably based on the earlier delivered models prior to year 2008. Is there a possibility of changing it to the blue like color from the ATR42?

Hello everyone. I've managed to port in a blue cockpit scheme with files from another user who owns an ATR42. It seems to work at the moment.

Do you know that the original ATR72 1.2 update from Carenado includes the blue grey cockpit (and improved EHSI graphics and improved  wingflex)?

Head to carenado's website to install version 1.2 it has an even better accurate blue scheme. Do uninstall your previous installation first before updating.

Hello.

Carenado issued 2 version of cockpit panel scheme titled Texture.common and Texture.common2. Common 1 is the old brown wood scheme pre 2008 ATR72 were mostly delivered with this scheme. Common 2 is the blue scheme which is the ATR's current to go to up to even the ATR72-600. To decide which color panel scheme to use head to SimObjects\Airplanes\Carenado AT72. Locate any livery u want to amend, inside that livery folder you should see a texture.cfg file open it as notepad and amend as per below:

Brown scheme add the following line:

[fltsim]

fallback.1=..\texture.Common

For the blue scheme add the following line:

[fltsim]

fallback.1=..\texture.Common2
fallback.2=..\texture.Common

Hope this helps.

I put  two version in texture,cfg file. Now, I have blue and brown schemes.Only problem I am experiencing both [instrument panels are  too dark. Hardly I can see the instruments.

I read  at  ATR Webpage to solve this problem we have to increase monitor brightness and shutdown HDR.

I wonder ,who wants  to fly with bright   textures all around us.

Other option, you have to open instruments light,  flying in blue sky.

New 431.36 Driver and combination  HDR "ON" , Brightness "0.88", Bloom " 0.00" Saturation "1.51" gave some improvement. But, I can see the difference, my colors are not right (?)

I think I managed. I lowered   the Saturation to " 0.71". Now it is better.

Thank you for your help.

Hello, is there a way to use the pressurization panel properly? I mean, change the landing altitude and switching to manual mode? not to off.

Oh, and another problem that i have is when I turn on the dome lights the panel messes up.

Help please! 😞
