GTN750 for XP11 and coverage outside of NA

Featured Replies

Hello people

I might be interested in the GTN750 and would like to understand a bit more about it.
Is there an FAQ somewhere, I asked RXP directly and was told to post this in the forums?

My main question is, will the GTN750 have full support for regions outside North America?
I understand it relies on the GTN/GDU 620 PC Trainer software but that comes with a statement saying Garmin Navigation Database (North America).
Does it require a subscription to keep data up to date and also to cover other regions?

Thanks

Hi,

The Garmin GTN trainer comes with 4 databases: North America (Garmin), Worldwide (Jeppesen), North America (Rotorcraft - Garmin), Americas (Rotorcraft - Jeppesen).

Just to add to that... there is no simple "subscription" route to keep the data current, so if you are thinking Navigraph or similar.. that is not possible.  Keep that in mind.

The Charts function is limited to the U.S. airspace, but the worldwide database does cover the entire world (without charts).

Accepting all that does get you a fabulous piece of avionics gear which many of us use in many GA aircraft.. so it is well worth investing in, if that is what you are after
