EADI readouts cleaned up

Featured Replies

In response to a user request, I have made the EADI readouts more similar

to the official aircraft documentation.

If that interests you and you have my earlier GTN version, send me a PM

with your email address.

Hiya,

With help of Bert i've improved my XML hacking skills :laugh:.

At the moment send Bert the release candidate of my improved EADI display.

Oke, what is changed, hope i remember all i tweaked. Basis for the tweaks are real-life PC-12 manuals and PC-12 cockpit movies on youtube.

- Most of the autopilot-mode readouts locations are tweaked.Colour changed, armed mode = WHITE, captured mode = GREEN;
- DH readout colour changed to green;
- RA range extend to 2500 ft, when out of range "---" is shown;
- RA below 500 ft, will show 5 ft in/decrements instead of 10 ft;
- Compass_strip, added: N, E, W en S;
- Added ILS/APP mode, the sky/ground "square" will be reduced to give the Speed pointer, Glideslope and slip-indicator a black background to provide more contrast.

To give a impression how it looks now:

Marcel -

Thank you. The work of this community has given me hundreds of hours of enjoyment with the PC-12 and has even bled over into a real-world appreciation for the air frame.

Look forward to the release.

Most of the flight simulation community is pretty toxic and gets easily worked up about little things. Just go into it knowing that.

This is fantastic work!  Thank you!

I have made my own changes to the EHSI, namely the color scheme now changes from green to cyan when GPS is the NAV source.  Also, I modified the CDI behavior to integrate better with RXP gauges...but that needs a little more testing.  Perhaps I can integrate my mods?  I'll email Bert.

The more, the merrier - this is all volunteer work  :biggrin:

Is the most recent updates provided from Marcel available from you, Bert?
