September 25, 200520 yr >It was the four letter word that appeared before "****hawks".>Not good. You mean a 4-letter word got through? I saw that it caught the first part of the word referring to the 90 degree off nose gear the other day, changing it to "####-eyed". :) BobK
September 25, 200520 yr >It's also a shame that people continue to bash either product,>especially considering that one of them has had about 6 times>as long to get patched than the other...How is he "bashing"? He merely stated a TRUE and BASIC fact...I have both, have HAD both, and the 747 needs to catch up on patches. That's not to say it isn't good, it just needs work.

Some folks simply cannot help themselve not to put their two cents over and over again on PMDG (Not like they have not done so 1,000,000 times). If "Hawkman" had an agenda (I delt with him myself for attacking LDS and Eric) then "Dillion" also has one although in Dillion's case he is at least smart enough to not say anything that will get himself banned but nevertheless he is very disrepectful IMO since he posts in every single thread where PMDG is mentioned. No one ever claimed the PMDG was free from issues and it never will be and to complain over and over again how one cannot even fly it is a personal issue since in fact many pilots and hard core users use it just fine. For those who claim perfection for any add-on I think they should re-examine what perfection means. For those who desire perfection for under 100 bucks I say please do not purchase add-ons for fs but use that money for an hour in a real plane..[h4]Randy J. September 25, 200520 yr Thanks for the heads up/confirmation John, I'd read somewhere of a cd 800/900 but alas 43 bucks plus shipping still pushes it beyond my pain threshold :) - I'd pay more than for the whole d'load package. I still wonder why it's available standalone on cd but not d'load?regards,Markhttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/markrey/lds1.jpgXPHomeSP2/FS9.1/3.2HT/1GIG/X700pro256 Regards, Mark
September 26, 200520 yr I have been off from work since last Wednesday and I just returned to my office this morning. I had a chance just prior to 9/11 to spend over 3 hours one evening in a major airline Training Center with one of their instructor pilots flying a full motion 767-400ER simulator. I sucessfully landed and took it off multiple times, and only one landing was a bit hard ( flared about 30 feet off the deck with a resounding thud-shock in the sim, when it touched down). Anyway this instructor Pilot gave me a poster of the 767-400 Flight Deck that is about 4 feet high and 3 feet wide and has been sitting right behind my desk in my office ever since. I arrived at the office this morning after flying the 767 ever since I purchased it last week ( I have really racked up some Vatsim flight hours in it already) , and took a close look at the poster. Guess what, it is almost the exact same cockpit layout as the Level D 767-300. A knob or two is colored differently, like the engine fuel control buttons have red stripes on them, and the analog airpseed indicator is in a different location minus the speed bugs, but 95% is the same. So now when I get bored, all I have to do is swivel my office chair around and I am in the cockpit of the 767... which by the way on the poster shows 1520 feet AGL, and 172 Knots indicated with flaps 1 set. :)
