October 22, 201312 yr Moderator Glad the new RAM is helping. On my rig I have never run anything lower than 2133mhz, so I might have been experiencing the same thing as you, although I still get no skeleton, but when switching back to VC sometimes it takes a fraction of a second for it to load all the VC graphics completely. So looks like I have something to work with now have to tweak and all that but again anyone in the market for ram look no further Platinums are awesome no way would I buy anything else, make sure your cpu can send the instructions to your ram at this speed as a sandy bridge will not run this ram speed as stated by Gigabyte support. My Sandy Bridge 2700K is not supposed be be able to run 2133mhz at 1.65v as it was supposedly bad for the memory controller or something to that effect. However after some conversations with NickN and some other knowledgeable people with that stuff, it ended up being more of a rumor and something to do with a problem with the first batch of chips a long time ago. Granted, I've only had my newer build since June of this year, I haven't had any issues running 2133mhz ram on my Asus P8z77-Pro. Anyway, hope after some tweaking you'll be happy with your new found equipement. Sean Campbell Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
October 23, 201312 yr Author Well, I guess I should have read before posting original post on "skeleton aircraft external view when changing views" PMDG 777 post-release issues tracking thread: Not real issues - please don't repost these: - The external model takes a second to fully show when switching views. This is just FSX. The graphics engine is 7 years old now and we're doing things with it that it was never meant to do. Just one of the quirks you have to live with if you want the super high-detail models and textures. Great aircraft just have to live with momentary skeleton look of aircraft when changing views.....
