Erm....where did the dx10 tool go?

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Installed the DX10 Scenery Fixer yesterday and all is working well. I remember originally seeing a separate program listed in my start menu--I think DX10 Tool. But I can't find it anywhere now(!). I've uninstalled and reinstalled everything but still no DX10 tool.

I feel like I'm totally losing it lol. Can anyone help me here? Are there two separate programs (it seems so from the manual) and if so, where the heck is it? or how do I access it?

Thanks in advance and long-live Dx10 (and Steve!)

Hello

Don't know the path you installed it. but you can try this:

If on windows 7 click the Start Menu and type DX10SceneryFixer.

if that doesn't work, then press at the same time the Windows Logo and F keys, type in the textbox.

Cheers.

Hi Alex,

Yes there are two tools DX10Controller which is the main day to day tool.  There should be a link on your desktop and the start menu.

The DX10toolbox is in the directory you chose when you installed so  e.g

G:\Program Files (x86)\DX10 Scenery Fixer

If you are unsure of the directory right click the DX10Controller icon on the desktop select properties and look in the "Start in:"  field  that will tell you the directory.

Be careful using the Toolbox!
