Im no videographer, and my videos wouldnt be worthy, but you guys who do great videos will be interested in this.

 

 

In case you didnt get it by email or see it on their forum, they have a contest that gives away a life subscription for future products and another prize for having all sceneries free.

FSDT is announcing a contest for all video-makers out there:

 

THE RULES:

 

- Create a Video showing FSDT Vancouver as best as you can. Try to be creative and show the scenery in its highest possible quality, possibly under different light conditions to show the new Dynamic Shadows feature.

 

- Using filters and post-production effects is allowed. Use of copyrighted music is not allowed! Please be sure you have rights to use any background music: many video editing tools have libraries with royalty-free music and sound samples, we suggest using them, unless you can compose the music too! Composing the music will surely impress the jury...

 

- Using other 3rd party products (such as AI traffic, hires clouds, etc.) to enhance the video is allowed, provided that FSDT Vancouver is clearly the main subject.

 

- By entering the contest, you grant FSDT the right to use the video for promotional purposes. You'll retain full copyright for it, and we'll leave any video credits you want to add intact in any case.

 

- The video must contain clear indications about FSDT name and Web site address.

 

- As soon as you finished your video, please post a link (like a Youtube/Vimeo/etc) in our "Screenshots" page to announce it, so we can check any new video and associate it to your name or email.

 

- You have ONE MONTH to finish it. The competition ends on February 20th.

 

- FSDT will decide the winner. We'll link it on our home page, so we would like to reserve the right to choose.

 

 

THE PRIZES:

 

- The Winner will be given the following prizes:

 

1) A free copy of all current FSDT products. Even if you own them, we can still give you 1 copy of each product, so you can make a gift to someone.

 

AND

 

2) The most valuable prize: a LIFETIME subscription of all future FSDT products! Every time we'll release a new product, you'll get it for free, no expiration (well, as long as FSDT will exists...)

 

AND

 

3) Our graphic artist (Kappa) will create a banner customized for you, that you can use as a signature on all forum to brag about your videomaking abilities and as an "FSDT Video Ambassador" with a lifetime subscription. Only one person in the whole FS Community will have the right to use it!

 

 

Since we are sure there will be many videos that will be very good, and it will be very difficult to choose, we are also offering the following consolation prizes to the 2nd and 3rd place winners:

 

1) A free copy of all current FSDT products.

 

2) A one-year subscription for all FSDT products that will be released in 2013.

 

3) A custom "FSDT Master Videomaker" forum banner.
