Beautiful scenery and best I have no idea if the landclass is correct

Donation on the way...

Well, I can only trust the Agency which puts out the data (but compared with some google maps shots it seems to be quite accurate most of the time).

I really enjoy mountain scenery, since I do live and fly in a mountainous area; and best of all, is the object additions that bring it much more to life, over the default. Having more objects really does make the difference, even if the topography is fairly good to start with.

Great job. This has now convinced me to buy X-plane 10. I am curious what type of GIS data is needed to create similar scenery. For example the Irish Government has made GIS data available for Ireland. Would this be useful or do you need more data?

Well, I have posted in a few places the data source I used, namely: http://data.linz.govt.nz/

What you have for Ireland looks interesting (and I didn't know about it before), but there is not much I could use for a scenery like NZ Pro ... Only the CORINE Landclass is good ... but it is already in use for entire Europe (in the default Global Scenery and HD Mesh Scenery). The only thing I can imagine with CORINE (but not only for Ireland) would be to improve the way it is used (I have a few ideas which I might implement in the future).

Do I have to have the generic New zealand terrain installed in Xplane, or can I just put this in the addon scenery folder?

Hmm, normally you don't need to have that region installed ... as the NZ Pro brings everything with it (at least from the scenery data standpoint) ... and textures and other default artwork is installed anyways (as they are core elements). BUT if you are talking about the DEMO of X-Plane, I think it doesn't allows you to go outside the demo area.
