December 23, 200322 yr If you have the Lago Otter running in FS9 I wouldappreciate your insight/opinion.Also, if you are GoFlight user and have the Otter I wouldapprecited hearing if you have any issues/probs with Otter. Thanks,Myles
December 23, 200322 yr Same here, was thinking about the Lago twotter, I have used the Eric Dantes version (great VC, but no eye candy animations) and the Project Globetwotter one, excellent model, just no VC. Was thinking about the Lago one next.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://mysite.verizon.net/res052cd/mybannercva1.jpgCalVirAir International VAwww.calvirair.comCougar Mountain Helicopters & Aviationwww.cgrmtnhelos.com Best, Michael KDFW
December 23, 200322 yr Ok, no one else seems to want to bite at this one, so I will. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. It is one of those airplanes that I prefer to fly from the VC, rather than the 2D cockpit. It comes with a bunch of liveries included, as well as 4 different model configurations (wheels, floats, skis, amphib). I like it when the company offers so many choices like this, rather than leaving it up to the user base to provide all the repaints. The Of course, the Twin Otter is not an overly complicated aircraft, so there's no FMC or anything. I can't say that I fly it everyday anymore, but I still take it up once a week or so.Also, they provided a free upgrade to FS2002 users. ;)- Martin My site: www.martinstrong.com/FS_Project.htm
December 23, 200322 yr I am a great fan of the Lago Otter. It is very slow of course but is a delight to fly either manually or with autopilot. Goflight works parfectly with it.I fly it a great deal with BAV airlines.the VC is very good.
December 25, 200322 yr Im also wondering if there is a template so i can do my own paintjobs...? just a yes or no would be fine :)
December 25, 200322 yr You can find a Lago Twotter repaint kit here:http://www.meatwater.com/msfs.htmI'm a big fan of the real world Twin Otter, and after trying every available version, Lago's is really my favorite one. The virtual cockpit is very well done, and so is the exterior model.Flight modelling is good as well, IMHO. I have messed up quite a few landings in this plane, because I tend to loose just a little bit too much speed on short final. This is a PLUS in my opinion, because most FS planes are just too forgiving. If you have RealityXP's 530XP GPS, I have done a panel modification for it available at RXP's user's files section. I prefer a modern radio stack and GPS on this plane, especially in ugly Alaskan weather!VOlker :]
December 26, 200322 yr Well I took the plunge and shelled out for it... and its great I really like it... and the VC is great took me a while to find the GPS but finnaly found it :)
