May 30, 201016 yr You can't access nor delete System Volume Information folders, which I think you are talking about. What is considerable space? Here they are all 0, but maybe not being able to access them, gives no size.

June 2, 201016 yr Disable System Restore and they should reduce in size.Correction: disable system restore and they will disappear altogether. The System Volume Information folder is where Windows stores registry restore points. You can safely disable system restore to clear this folder, then re-enable it to make sure you still have the ability to restore the registry.
