Did anyone actually read what myself or Robert posted on this subject? We did NOT say that release would happen before Christmas, we said that it was what we were TRYING for. Obviously, that did not happen and we'll be releasing later than we were shooting for.This is precisely why we don't usually talk about this stuff - I would not expect that we'll be discussing anything like this again in the future, something always comes up when we do and it's better for us to just not say anything until the product is ready to go.

What a shame. The developers come out and give an APPROXIMATE timeline and for any number of reasons, that didn't happen. And certain members on here act like spoiled, impatient little children and give the PMDG team grief as well as fight amongst themselves. Disappointing really, act like adults, folks! Let's be patient and civil and wait until the PMDG folks are ready to release. Have a little courtesy! It's the LEAST we can do for the guys who produce the BEST addon aircraft for MSFS! Tim

Well, I will admit I was sad not to see it christmas eve or christmas but I am happy they are working on it. I know it will be here between now and the 31st. Although an update on whats going on would be nice but not needed. Besides. It will be like christmas all over again when we see it! Thanks So much PMDG for all you do for us. Keep up the great work! I remember one of the situations PMDG say they are really working on was the lighting in the cockpit. I believe them becase all my PAYware have problems with light settings in the cockpit.The only panel I remember working well in FS9 was Simon Topman panel for the HNAC Airbus 300-600. It actually dim something like what PMDG is trying to do with the FS9 version of the MD-11. If this is the only real bug they are having I hope they will not try to long to fix this problem because it is a MAJOR problem for FS9 platform. I will just fly doing the day until they come up with a usable solution. Any other bugs or fixes and I am willing to wait.Carl P.

Dear HGJ, I do not think it will be released this year but, may be in the month of April 2009 or later, talked about it before Christmas and they were not talking about anything here!!!!

Better wait for a car with stearring wheel or purchasing a car without :( It's a Crazy world and i remember on the PSS forum what happen those time they give out any promise or planned date. It make no sence if they wrote that things can happend.So some of you folk please stop and enjoy the whole fleet or why not relax and enjoy the hollydays.I will wait for the MD11 until 2010 if the PMDG Group find any small bug. People seriously need to be a bit patient with this. The fact is, PMDG are producing one of the stellar Flight Simulator products, and stellar products can take time to develop. Software is not predictable, going through a number of testing stages to ensure that everything they want to work, works. Without the wait, you'd get a buggy, crashing airplane that will not do PMDG any justice, and will no doubt leave those who are hoping for the release before the end of 2008 disappointed and frustrated. Give PMDG time, stop trying to rush them, they know you want their product as soon as possible, they know how important it is to you - they want you to enjoy it as much as you possible can, so to wait a few extra weeks is completely worth it. Please, I'm not a developer, I'm not involved in the process of making this great plane - but having been a software tester, I know what they are going through - don't keep asking when it'll be ready. It'll be ready when PMDG are ready.

Yes it will be released when it's released.I will play the middle man here. I agree with PMDG and don't give any release dates. PMDG doesn't OWE us anything so don't expect them to. But it would be nice to give an update every couple days to just let us know whats going on. I dont think they owe it to us but from what I have read on forums, when the devs give updates it tends to make everyone happier. As for the people that say crap like "I do not think it will be released this year but, may be in the month of April 2009 or later", just grow up. You are just trying to rise out of PMDG and other posters here. You haven't got a clue when it will be released so keep your opinion to yourself about it. I think if I was a dev and after I read your post I dont think i would be selling the product to you until at least July even if it was released in the next couple days. I make this post because after purchasing welll over 2-3K dollars worth of addons I STILL keep reading the same thing over and over and over when a product is near completion.......a bunch of whining. And still nothing has changed so obviously whining isn't going to changed anything. Let PMDG do they work.
