March 21, 200719 yr Hello folks,I'm looking for an idea (for my home-brew cockpit) to display the "GlassCockpit" (G1000) on a separte monitor or -even better - on an old notebook. Is there any way / expirience to do that via SimConnect ?Regards from BerlinStrange99
March 25, 200719 yr If you already have the 2nd monitor hooked up, why dontcha just undock that window and drag it over? Would be rather simple I guess although I have not tried it yet.Cheers, :-beerchugEtienne :-wave
April 20, 200719 yr Hi Strange,Here are some of the options. There may be others...1) As mentioned, simply undock it and drag to second monitor on same PC running FSX. This works for sure. You may see a frame rate decrease.2) Use built-in FSX shared cockpit feature on second PC. Requires two PCs and two copies of FSX. Never tried it; anyone have experience with this?3) Use third party panels on written for Simconnect/FSUIPC/WideFS. Works better on 2nd PC. Here is one: http://www.projectmagenta.com/products/gagc.html4) Write your own panels and gauges using SimConnect. Programming skills required.Regards,Rich

As long as you are using defualt planes with default gauges pretty much everything should work. Even if you fiddle around with the GPS on the one machine the other machine will see exactly what you do.>4) Write your own panels and gauges using SimConnect. >Programming skills required.Exactly. Nice way, most customizable.Cheers, :-beerchugEtienne :-wave
