August 11, 200718 yr High Jim,Just updated to ASX to SP1 and set defaults. Re-started ASX and did a little flight from EGBO north to SWB VOR then to WAL VOR. I experienced severe wind shifts through 4000ft and again at 7000ft.Reduced all wind settings and wake turbulence setting to 25% and re-tried the flight but unfortunately the same result.I know you use simconnect rather than FSUIPC but I notice that there is no wind smoothing option in FSUIPC like there was in FS9 version. Is this true of simconnect also?I'd love this issue to be resolved. Thanks in advanceStu i7 12700K , DDR4 64GB RAM @3600MHz, Asus Z690-Plus D4 MB, Gainward 4090 RTX Graphics, 850W Corsair PSU, Kraken AIO watercooler, Nvme 1TB ssd, 1TB ssd, 500GB ssd.
August 11, 200718 yr Author I should have read the last post on the 'Wind shift survey' thread!Blimey, I'm so slow sometimes. i7 12700K , DDR4 64GB RAM @3600MHz, Asus Z690-Plus D4 MB, Gainward 4090 RTX Graphics, 850W Corsair PSU, Kraken AIO watercooler, Nvme 1TB ssd, 1TB ssd, 500GB ssd.
August 12, 200718 yr What post are you refering? I dont see the Wind Survey post sticky anymore. Besides, I was under the impression that SP1 would resolve the wind shift issue. I guess we'll be waiting until SP2 or later for a realistic remedy. Ryan Ryan Kelly

August 31, 200718 yr Hi,I am sure we will continue to work on this issue/area.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
September 6, 200718 yr I know you guys are working the issue, but I thought I'd add my two bobs worth that wind shifts occur much less frequently than they did pre-ASX SP1, but Australia in particular is still proving to the land of wild shifting winds down under. Flying out from YBBN to YPDN about an hour out was a comedy of overspeed / stall warnings last night for me! Unchecking "create virtual stations" and "enhance route coverage" improves, but does not eliminate the situation. If it really is an FSX issue then hopefully MS can be shamed into fixing this age old problem of the FS series in the next SP release!Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
