October 22, 200322 yr Hi Guys,As I sit here lamenting the demise of one of my favourite aircraft, the Boeing Super 27, I found some picture of me flying her G-OPMN.I know she isn't a 737NG, but the fuselage is the same. Would it be possible for some genius/kind soul to convert the livery onto a 737NG.Here are a couple of URLs of me Landing at Lasham and at Newcastle & I would love to fly that livery again.http://www.airliners.net/open.file/218886/M/http://www.airliners.net/open.file/262969/M/If the NGs Nacelles were painted red it could be done I think. Thanks again.
October 22, 200322 yr Adrian,Interesting. I'll see how this would look and if doable, I'll add it to my growing list. If it's still undone by the time I get to it I'll see about painting up one of our 700's. http://www.precision...GX_Dev_Team.jpg PMDG Graphic Designer
October 22, 200322 yr Thanks very much Pete, if you need any extra pictures, I have quite a few as I had the privilidge of collecting the aircraft from chateauroux in france straight after it was liveried. Another amusing thing was that on Landing at Bournmouth, ATC shouted "Great Paintjob!" Ah, if only I could have the flight deck of the 737NG (still keeping the Engineer in some role or other) inside the fuselage of a Super 27 (727 with md80 pod engines) ah what a dream! At 250 knots at 20,000 feet if you apply max continous power, you'll exceed the barbers pole (370kts IAS) within 25 seconds - Now thats what i call power heheheheKeep well!
October 23, 200322 yr Adrian and Pete,Ed Knapp painted a CS727 in this livery. I'll see if I can beat him out of the PSD. I'll bet we can make this work.Best,Bill
October 23, 200322 yr Have you got any snaps of it in 727 shape? I would be quite keen to see it. grovel grovel!
October 23, 200322 yr Well, Ed didn't have the cougar layer. In any case, I've found a photo and cleaned the windows, etc. off. She's ready for the NG...http://members.cox.net/bbrowning2/cougar.jpgBest,Bill
October 25, 200322 yr Continue or not? What say ye?http://members.cox.net/bbrowning2/CougT.jpgBest,Bill
October 25, 200322 yr Hi Bill, nice job!!Re the url in your previous post - Thanks! The Cougar livery he used is that of G-OKJN which is not as nice as the one you've used (G-OPMN). May I suggest the engine nacelles in red would look more fetching (IMO).Keep up the good work!
