Couple of days ago bought 4 airports/sceneries from Aerosoft's so-called 20% Sale. What a swizz! Admittedly they were on offer at 20% off, but all that was wiped out with 20% VAT added back on top. Not so much of a bargain, in reality. Not sure what VAT levels are or if there are none in other countries, but I for one will never again fall for these so-called '20% Sales'!

Aerosoft have a sale with 25% off their various utilities until September 9th. These include the very useful configuration manager tool SimStarterNG which is available at €11.31 (about $13) and there is also 25% off of other utilities including FlightSim Comander 10. I used an earlier version of FlightSim Commander quite a lot although I don’t use it as much since I installed the GTN750. A few items at Just Flight discounted this weekend. Note that some of the 'FSX only' add-ons do actually work in P3D V4 (Spitfire Mark IV for example, which can be installed in FSX and then copied and pasted into P3D and this works just fine), but don't assume they all would if you intend to use them in P3D, check first. www.justflight.com

Steam version of FSX is currently on offer at 65% off, making it just £6.99. Offer lasts until 28th August. Worth having, even if you don't use it much at that price and certainly worth having if you are using the older version of FSX since you get a souped up version which runs better, has all the tweaks and service packs applied, is recompiled for more modern hardware and includes all the add-ons MS released, such as Acceleration etc.
