Laker Airways Virtual, based on the pioneering Sir Freddie Laker's airline of 70's, is now open for new pilots. Our routes are a mixture of real Laker Airways routes, in Europe and Central America and the pioneering SKYTRAIN services from the UK to the USA, along with some fictional routes that we are sure Sir Freddie would have flown. To fly with us you must become a registered pilot with us. The application form to join can be found at the end of our Pilot's Handbook which we ask you to read carefully. You need to download our flight tracking and reporting software VAFS 2.0 beta.VAFS (Virtual Airline Financial Systems) is more than just a automated PIREP (pilot report) s…

  3. Hi All...I signed up to join Air France this weekend b/c I wanted an airline that wasn't too rigid, and could yet provide some structure. Their website seemed to imply that I could fly flights from Delta & Continental Virtual, so I signed up...Then came the problems... 1. They want me to fly the first flight in 7 days... no problem, but it seems like the only flights that I can fly is the European Flights... I tried to download an ATR 72 for one, and the instructions to install were only in French... I live in the US, and no luck getting it installed.2. I registered to the Forum (Fighting Tiger)... but it won't let me in and keeps sending me weird error messages.3…

CityBird was founded in 1996 and flew passengers to holiday destinations in Florida and the Caribbean, initially aiming for longhaul destinations with 767s and MD-11s. The call sign was "Dream Flight". Later on 2 A300s were added as an expansion to cargo operations. Alas, these Airbusses eluded me and I never got them for my lens. In fact, in 1999 2 747s (freighters) were expected to be operated to North - & South America, but this never happened http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/188897.jpgAs a Virtual Airline, we are projecting CityBird Airlines into today's world. From our home base at EBBR (Brussels), we offer passenger as well as cargo flights to the entire world…

Hunstville, AL (Reuters)- Rocket Air released quarter 1 financial results to the public today during a press conference with officials from Rocket Air, the National Aeronautic and Space Administration and surprisingly Toyota Motor Company of America. With their first quarter of operations complete, growth was exponential. In their first month the airline posted less than a quarter of a million dollars in sales, which led to rumors of investors talking about withdrawing anymore funds. This was followed by a stronger second month of operations with sales hovering right around $1 million. The final month of the quarter saw sales rocket to well over $10 million. The fir…

Firstly, good day to everyone. Secondly, well, what can I say? Another very successful month here at Cayman Virtual. Cayman Airways Virtual has been in operation for 10 months today, operations began last year, July 6th, and the VA started small, on a free hosting site, with a "re-branding" in February this year, we moved to a brand new website, upgraded all our systems and unfortunately had to start from the ground up. However, we like to think that the quality of our operations has been climbing, to higher heights then I personally ever dreamed they would reach. Stat Report, comparison with March stats:The statistics don't lie, clearly the VA is improving to the delig…
