We are in the initial planning stages of ramping up a VA modeled after ATA. Care will be taken not to infringe on copy writed materials from American Trans Air except in those cases where the images of our fleet mirror those of the real ATA. ATA flies regularly scheduled passenger flights throughout the US mainland, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Mexico. In addition, ATA operates charter flights for the US Dept of Defense.......we hope to emulate both schedules. Our primary (and only) hub will be Chicago's Midway Airport.Stay tuned to this forum to get updates as the ramp up operation continues..........

I'm not going to make a habit of this (posting twice in a week) but I would like to update our progress here at Air Fresno. The webpage is now 99% complete, we're just going through and making minor corrections as we go along. All of the airlines aircraft are now available through the website and all of the completed features have been tested. I have added AFI Cargo, basically the cargo arm for Air Fresno. Right now my staff and I are still selecting the routes for the cargo division, and two of the three aircraft for AFI are also available on it's page. While a Grand Re-Opening date has not been set, I am pushing for an opening just before Christmas (to take advantage of …

November 20, 2003 - With a switch from America OnLine to the new home at Earthlink, Air Fresno has taken it's first step at returning to operations for the first time since early 2000. Over the last 3 years several attempts at getting the trend setting regional virtual airline have resulted in disappointment and set backs. But in early 2003 a newly determined Peter McKay set forth a plan to have the airline back in the air within twelve months. The fleet was the first item developed, with a variety of short and medium ranged jets and a single type of commuter aircraft being painted. The new livery is based on a successful livery of the past, and Alexander Richardson was pr…

Flightsimmers, I am David Matteson and the current President of St. Paul Airlines. This is our first post at AVSIM.com, and I would like to let you all know that we are looking for more pilots to fill some of our hubs. Currently, our hubs are Minneapolis, Denver, Dallas, and Washington D.C. with a small operations hub in Pheonix that handles out training, cargo, and charter operations. We are a small VA, but we love to have fun. We have a lot of talent in aircraft design, flight design as well as scenery design. We require 4 flights per month. We have a huge fleet in our own colors that start with a Beech 1900D all the way to the Boeing 747 and Airbus 340. We also have ma…

Hello! One of the pilots for Emiratesva suggested that we host a 'Emiratesva World Challenge'. This would simply be a challenge, where pilots stop at every Emirates destination (including ek code flights eg. at Newark). Any aircraft from Emiratesva can be used on the challenge. At the moment we are trying to find a site that would be willing to host such an event. However we need to know the view of other people. Even if you don't fly for Emiratesva, you would still be able to participate in the challenge so please, we would really appreciate feedback on this topic.Happy Flying :) Arman MotiwallaEmiratesva Flight Operationswww.emiratesva.com

Hi Guys,Is there any reliable places to gain free webspace, if so do you need to write your pages in html format or can u upload templates and whatnot, like geocities? Our VA hasn't really gone anywhere for a few months, I think due to the fact, that I am not a webpage designer in html format. Our current home is restricting our expansion, and without a new website, our progress has been slow. We have had problems getting a new website, and sadly been set back in gaining a new website, due to the designer having real life commitments. I would be grateful for any response.Regards,Ryan

Hello,I would just like to inform everybody that the Chart Library has been completed and it will be uploaded to the site (hopefully) within the next few days. The chart library contains both terminal and enroute charts that cover the globe. The charts have been provided to Emiratesva by the U.S DOD (NIMA) (DAFIF). Within the chart page are links to charts covering specific sections of the world (including Area Arrival charts). There is also a simple and complex legend to help interpret the charts. I hope that pilots at Emiratesva find the charts useful. If you have any comments or suggestions regarding this topic, pls post them we always want to know how we can improve o…

Hi,Air travel in Europe will never be the same again. European travellers currently have a choice between high fares and decent service and low fares (in some cases) that sacrifices comfort, convenience and service. V BIRD has positioned itself to provide low fares without sacrificing comfort, convenience and by focusing our company on our customers. How do we do this? We have a simple formula that maintains low costs without sacrificing the experience of flying. Even better, we have improved the experience as well.So from now opened V BIRD Virtual Airline, we are brand new like the real airline and we have permission from the real V BIRD.What are we looking for?-Staff Me…
