Today sees the official launch of Southeastern Airlines, the re-branded and renamed UK division of Sun Star Airlines.Sun Star UK (as Southeastern was originally called) operated from Kent International using a small fleet of Embraer ERJ145?s to a number of destinations throughout the UK and Europe. Using the ERJ?s meant that the range of destinations Sun Star UK were able to serve was somewhat limited, so the parent company has allocated Southeastern three Airbus A320-232?s, four Boeing 737-800?s, four Dash 8 Q400?s and the four original ERJ145?s.The Dash 8 Q400?s will be used to operate the Jersey and Manchester routes and will also be the backbone of the Southeastern fl…

Boston, Mass. (December 1, 2004) - After running a limited schedule for the last two months, SkyOne Airlines will commence operating a full schedule today. SkyOne recently accepted its second ATR-72-212A which will allow the airline to operate all flights that they originally proposed over four months ago when they announced their conception. "In our first months of operation, we completed all of our flights, with 96.7 percent of them arriving on time. We only delayed 6 bags, and all of them were reunited with their owners within two hours of their original arrival, and we carried 52,318 passengers - a load factor of 78.4 percent, which is unprecedented in a start-up air…

Ladies and Gentlemen, fellow aviators,we would like to announce that as of today the new winter-schedule for VirtualCargolux has been put "on-line" at our web-site.The new schedule has plenty of new destinations, e.g. Bradley (Hartford, CT), Chicago O`Hare, Helsinki, and lots more... Our registered pilots will be able to enjoy the full benefit of receiving a "Flight Dispatch Advisory" when they are "booking a flight" which will give them not only the anticipated fuel load for the sector in question, it will also give them latest ATC routings (AIRAC 12/04) based on real-time generated flight-plans (so, "AS REAL AS IT GETS" has a meaning for us) and links to the latest weat…

Good Evening!North Atlantic Airways opens its doors. Currently looking for staff and pilots. We are a totally different VA. Our website is all basic html, nothing automated, meaning our staff members actually have work to do. Also, NAA only allows 50 pilots at a time to be on our rosters. How realistic is it for an airline to have only 20 or so routes, but have hundreds of pilots?? Our application procedure is also different. No filling out a simple form and hitting submit. All pilots must fill out a resume and send it in, like a real job would require. For those of you wanting to hold a staff position, please contact me via e-mail for more information on positio…

On Thursday November 25th, 2004 a new international virtual airline will be launched, bringing to VATSIM and IVAO skies a professional VA based on France's flag carrier, Air France. Aviation Francais Virtuel is the culmination of several months of extensive planning by the same experienced volunteers that have put together one of the oldest and most successful North American virtual airlines, Delta Virtual Airlines. Noticing the almost complete absence of Air France aircraft from the online skies of IVAO or VATSIM, the AFV volunteers sought to duplicate the success of the Delta Virtual community while maintaining the special qualities that makes Europe and France so disti…
