A recent update to our commercial forum software now includes a boilerplate request for users to opt in/out of having their personal information disclosed to others. Regardless of the choice you make, AVSIM does not and will not disclose user information to third parties. The option dialogue is a new standard feature of the off-the-shelf forum software, and does not indicate any change in our longstanding privacy policy.

Forum login procedures - use e-mail, not display name

***IMPORTANT NOTICE***
Going forward, logins to the AVSIM forum system will no longer accept the user's display name as a login credential. Please instead use the e-mail address registered on the account. The (separate and independent) AVSIM library system still uses the user name and password.

Note that if you have your login credentials stored in your browser, you'll need to clear it's cache and possibly any AVSIM-related cookies. Otherwise your browser will be automatically sending outdated credentials to the server, resulting in failed login attempts.
