Jan's Aircraft Carrier - how to land the Cessna

Featured Replies

Hi all,as you may have read in this Forum Jan M. Herigstad gave me his unfinished BETA version of an aircraft carrier for FLY!. He won't upload the model to the library as it does not have the high quality standards of his other work but gave me the right to spread it.So if anyone is interested in doing some real challenge landings, drop me a line (over AVSIM) and I'll mail the files to you. This model is really functional as you can land and taxi :-) all over the flightdeck, all is hardened. And believe me, if you increase reality by adding some wind (30 knots, degrees as your crossing flightdeck is positioned, the carrier would get into the wind AND move forwards, so windspeed and carrierspeed are added and your groundspeed is very slow with the Cessna by giving some wind) the landing with the Cessna is very easy. I'm a rotorhead and a BAD fixed wing-FLYer, this landing is only a demonstration that such pilots like me can handle it - why not you?Let us know if you do it even with a bigger one .. give us the pics!Thank you again, Jan for your noble action, for FLY!'s sake.Heading for the ACC (not optimal): http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/103542.jpgStopped, parking position:Getting nearer:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/103543.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/103544.jpgLanding point:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/103545.jpgStopp and parking position:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/103546.jpgAfterward taxi to start position, flaps 10 deg, take-off and ready for a new approach(max number of pics, could not upload the last one, sorry)
