Want you opinion....on the twin otter(pic)

Featured Replies

After receiving some( expert) help from Alejandro, I got the gps working on the twin otter. Thanks, Alex. It now flies, despite some imperfections with the panel(I am still learning paint shop pro). From the picture you will notice that the center post appears a little to the right. That's intentional. The fact is that the center post in FLY will always interfere with the pilot's view of the runway centerline, so a compromise needs to be made. On my next cockpit project, the md80, I will try to do it ala msfs--just provide the captain's view. Afterall, we're all captains, right? I can tell you that modifying panels is addictive and rewarding. The time needed, however, is something that I never appreciated until I started doing it myself. My issues are all that of a newbie. Tell me if you want me to upload it now, as a beta version, so that you can start flying it. The cockpit views are great in this plane. I intentionally tweaked the left view to mimic the big side windows of this aircraft. I also like the throttles in the main screen: they are useful when I need to use only one lever in those tight turns. By the way, who is painting it for Harvey Air? I also found some neat twin otter sounds, which I will incorporate in the final version.tony

The new panel looks great Tony! My vote is go ahead and upload it. It looks good to me. I want to get started flying it. Thanks for all you've done to help FLYII stay one of the greatest all time flight sims.Earl
