Bridge types in Ground2k4

Featured Replies

Does anyobody know how to force G2K4 to use a particular road bridge type? There are two types: covered, (as in Madison County) and open, (like everywhere else). But I always get the one I don't want (Madison county)...Geoff

Luis,Many thanks, a very informative link...Geoff

Hello again Luis,Well I almost have it working!I am using Ground2k4 and after following your instructions I modified the terrain.cfg and sure enough all 9 show up as extra bridges at the end of the lines menu in Ground2k4However, although I now get the bridge I want it always has a two problems:1. It seems to add an extra bit (see jpg)2. Is also adds the bridge ends again, but some distance away, and on the same road. This occurs with all the bridges. I have tried several different widths but that seems to make no difference either to the problem or to the width of the bridge...The width value seems to have no impact on anything at all when I comes to bridges - I noticed that with the default bridgesAny ideas? Thanks Geoff

Hello Geoff,The line width adds the hook at the end and this is what determines both the width of the polygon (when there is a texture to be mapped) and the location of the autogen objects (such as light posts, signs, and also it would seem the bridge parts.)I found that without a width to the line, the bridge would have the same problems that you mention. But, the moment it had a width, this would all disappear.Best regards.Luis
