Highway 101 is ruined by rockslides every ten years or so. It is narrow and dangerous on some long stretches. July 11, 20223 yr Author Yep, that's the place. The Goonies was filmed there too. I remember when I was too young for school being driven along the coast highway (101). There were short stretches where it was one lane, and you had to back up around curved mountain roads if oncoming traffic was in front of you. Which was a surprise to us, being an U.S. International Highway.
