Popup has no content on second monitor

Featured Replies

I've been running three monitors for FSX for several years. I use the side monitors for popups which I undock and drag across in the usual way.  Up until a few days ago I never had problems with this when flying lots of different aircraft.

A few days ago I loaded up the FSX PMDG MD-11 for the first time.  In cockpit view, when I drag the FMS to a second monitor, the window comes across but not the content.  When I drag the window back to the main screen, the content re-appears.

I have ticked the box in 'Simulations Options' for multi-monitor users.  I can't work out what's going wrong and I'd be glad of advice.

Thanks!

Are you "undocking it " first? Sounds weird otherwise.

I was undocking it!  I agree it was weird because I could drag and drop popups from other planes.

I found the 'cure' on another board. In the Start Menu PMDG Load Manager I changed from 'normal' to 'widescreen'.

Hope this stops someone else pulling their hair out.

Glad you solved it. The solution sounds as weird as the trouble. LOL

I think what it did was to spread 'window' mode to the other two screens. It is weird I agree - there's no problem with other aircraft.

Mind you this is the only PMDG plane in my stable so far and it may happen with others - at least we have a fix even if we aren't sure how it works.
