Strange results after installing the 1.4 version of ngx fscrew2

Featured Replies

Hi bryan heres a strange one for you to solve. Dont know if its related or not but after installing the latest 1.4 fscrew2 ngx went to airport and everything worked ok got in the air ok and than i decided to check the fscrew2 map on where everyone is etc. This is where things went pear shape for me lost the sounds to the engs etc found out some how the volumne in my sound control got turned down to zero didnt realise this to afterward after i shut down fsx. So after i went back to fsx airport as before and tried again now everytime i start fscrew2 and when i click the hs or the cfg panel fsx hangs for awhile after a few seconds it comes back online and than i can continue. After awhile after completeing flow checks etc fsx hangs and i have to restart pc it happens at different points in the flow checks not at the same point. So i uninstalled the 1.4 and tried again same results. So i decided to try my pmdg4100 version and the same thing happens so looks like all my fscrew2 products seem to freeze my pc.

If i dont use the fscrew2 at all everything works ok havnt tried the madog version or the ifly yet as iam going to do that now will let you know the results

Edit ifly version works fine

going to see if installing the original ngx fscrew2 version will make any difference

Okay after installing my original version of the fscrew2 ngx everything is back to normal again so least its working again

Glad it's sorted. Computers can be temperamental sometimes :P

Lol yes they are, but wonder why when i install the 1.4 version it effects my other pmdg versions of fscrew2 is the strange part, anyways i can live without 1.4 can always wait for the next version to come out :)

The only common file between FS2Crew NGX and other FS2Crew's is the FS2Audio.dll, and the FS2Audio.dll didn't change in 1.4.

So very odd!

Cheers,

Hi bryan just to let you know after another reinstal,l i tried again but this time i didnt click the hs since last time as i found out triggered my freeze all the time. I waited for a minute or so than i clicked the hs to see what would happen and didnt get a freeze at all. So hopefully this is my work around but will try next flight by clicking the hs first to see if i get a freeze or not.
