December 24, 200322 yr Operating on a very limited budget at this time of the year, I recently upgraded my processor from an AMD Athlon 1600 to an AMD 2400 (I was told this was the most my motherboard would take. I also changed the graphics card from a 64MB GeForce MX440 to a 128 MB GeForce FX5200.My problem is that the colour rendering appears to have now gone haywire. Runways and buildings appear red/orange, and the sky appears either bright yellow or red. The view in VC mode is flickering and fragmented.I've made sure that I've got all the latest drivers etc. I'm no technical expert. Can anyone tell me what might be going wrong ?Neil B
December 25, 200322 yr couple of things i'd look into; directx diag tool? run it 2 see. start/ programs/ assessories/system information; tick "tools" select directX diagnostic tool. if the software for the graphics card loaded a start menu item, open it and see if u can change the colors. ; or; get rivatuner, and try using it, or; remove the new card, remove the drivers [ detonator destroyer] and reinstall the old 1 and see if it's ok. IF it is; remove all again [det destroyer] and reinstall the new card. might have a driver conflict. this assumes[ yeah i know how its spelled] that colors are ok at all other computer functions. good luck tt
December 25, 200322 yr Author Make sure you have the latest Nvidia drivers from the www.nvidia.com website (the 52.16 drivers are the ones I would select..)Also try to reinstall DirectX (from the FS9 CD). Bert
