Starting plane from "cold" state?

I would like to follow aircraft startup procedures when I fly, however, the engines are always started for me when I start. How do I make the sim start me with a "cold" plane.Thanks in advance.

The only way I know is to kill the engine and then save the situation as a flight. You can even make that save your new default if you like. After you load that flight, you can even change to a different aircraft and the engine will still be off. Hope that helps.Tony
