PSS/POSKYB772 merge - No sound

Featured Replies

After installing Windows 7 32 bit, I've installed Fs9 no serious problems. However, I can't get any engine sound, I can hear clicking sounds as I activate switches etc. and can see the engine fan turning normally but no sound?I think it must be something to do with the aircraft.cfg not communicating with the sound folder. If anyone can help that would be great, I'm at a loss on how to proceedJust a thought, the Default Cessne 172 engine sounds are loud and clear,Ken

Plz post the sound= line of your aircraft.cfg.Jim Harnes

Hi Jim,sound=.rrI've just had a funny feeling I know what you're going to tell me - but tell me anyway :( No, not what I thought was,Ken

Hi Ken,Should be Sound=rr No period before rr :( . I'm using the PSS/POSKY772 with a custom widescreen panel and Windows 7 64 bit. It provides a very nice experience.Jim

I tried that Jim, no luck though...individual .wav files will play when I click on them, that's it though so far.Where can I get a wide panel from.....so long as I don't have to rob a bank :( Ken

Ken,If your other sim sounds are working OK and you can hear the PSS sounds associated with the model file, overhead panel clicks, etc, you might try downloading another RR sound package. Put it in a new sound folder with an unique name such as sound=RR2 and reference that in the aircraft.cfg. If that works, the fault could be with the original PSS sound.cfg file.I purchased a wide screen panel package from Sky-Decks. The bitmaps are excellent but designed for default gauges. So, through the magic of FS Panel Studio, I now have a PSS/Sky-Decks panel "merge". It isn't perfect but the view is great and everything works as intended.Jim

Is the sound folder also listed as sound.RR?

Clarke Kruger - CYEG

Yes, they are Clarke, Jim's idea is to d/l a fresh set of sound files from Posky so we know Win 7 hasn't had a chance to modify them yet (or me!).Ken
