Vista won't let me get to my FS9.cfg!?

Featured Replies

Hello all.Have been using FSX on my new system for a couple of months, but enjoyable as it is, it can't match FS9 with all my old addons, so am migrating back! FS9 should run like a dream on my new system, so I got the process underway last night...HOWEVER. Already I have run into Vista headaches. Am running Vista Ultimate 64. UAC is disabled, and I am listed as 'Administrator' under user accounts, but despite this, I can't get into 'application data' in documents and settings to get to my cfg file, and carry out the customary editing of terrain vertex, adding fssound.dll info etc...In the three months since I got my new system, I had been thinking to myself that all the bother Vista has given people since its release was obviously blowing over my head, but now that I've hit this problem I am going mental! :-)Despite some extensive searching online, I can't find a definitive answer. Hard to beleive, as this must have affected other people!Help most appreciated!Best regards,Al.
