July 7, 200223 yr One of my associate pilots over at DC3 Airways asked a particular question which I wouldn't mind knowing the answer to myself, therefore, in his words:G'Day all. I am halfway into my DC3 rating flights and have come to 1204. This is a VOR approach in very marginal conditions - 2m visibility, low cloud and rain. Whilst the landing is ok (just), runway lights would make the runway appear out of the mist just a little bit earlier ! Does anyone know if, with FS2002, I can turn on runway lighting during the day ? Or is it just related to time irrespective of weather conditions ? Thanks. Richard. Thanks, for Richard and myself.HeatherThe propeller is there to keep the pilot cool. Think not? July 7, 200223 yr Hi Heather,I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure the daytime runway lighting functions in concert with visibility settings. I don't believe you get daytime runway/approach lighting until you get down to One mile visibility or less.
