C414 Does not install - unable to uninstall

Hi,

Today, I installed the latest version of the 414 in MSFS 2024. The installation process went without any problems, but after the installation, only the Effects Folder was installed, nothing else. When trying to reinstall, the error message appeared that the uninstall was not possible, and that was it. I searched throughout the computer but the C414 was not installed.

Please advise!

Autopilot issue

When you are in NAV mode and select HDG mode the Auto pilot starts a 500 feet min climb abruptly using TDS GTNxi, but it does settle back down. Using default livery.

Remarks about G3X coupling with GNS/GTN

Yesterday I purchased the C24R and I'm very happy with it. There is one issue however that is not 'as real as it gets', concerning the panel configurations where a Garmin G3X is coupled with a GNS or GTN unit. The G3X is coupled to the main bus, while the GNS or GTN is coupled to the avionics bus. However, when powering up the G3X it shows COMM data instantly, which is not correct. The COMM data on the G3X should appear after you have powered up the GNS or GTN, because only then the G3X will receive data. Is this something you would consider to correct in a future update?

Can't engage gps

Just purchased this beautiful aircraft but, for some reason, I can't seem to get the gps to follow the flight plan. It does not matter with model gps I have. My procedure is to hit the nav button once the gns has been set to gps. Of course, the AP button is on. What I am missing?

Sierra C24 notes in MSFS2024

So I put the Sierra into MSFS2024, and I'd like to report that it generally seemed to work ok, in my limited time flying it. The issues I did see were:

1. the displays on the G5 instruments (G5 variant) seem to flicker
2. pilot/co-pilot avatars aren't there
3. another user reported that some of the tablet functions aren't working, but I didn't test that

Anyway, the Sierra is looking really good otherwise. I'll fly it some more (maybe at night, and with different cockpits (GPS variants) other than the G5) and see how it goes.

Cockpit switches intermittently not working

Hi All,

A few times during a flight, I find that the cockpit switches do not operate.

However if I go to the outside aircraft view and then go back to cockpit view, the switches start working again.

Sometimes I need to do this a couple of times before the switches start working again.

I am wondering if it is because I am running on a 1080 graphics card which is maxed out using MSFS. However I have not had this issue with any other aircraft.

Is the Cessna 414 particularly demanding in anyway. Just a thought.

Any comments appreciated.

Cessna 414 EFB will not open

Hi everyone,

I just downloaded the Cessna 414 from the msfs marketplace. Installed ok, but I am unable to open the EFB. I am using the correct click spot, and tried to find any conflicting mods but to no avail. A reinstall of the aircraft made no difference.

If anyone else has experienced the same issue, I would be grateful for any solutions.

I finished a couple of flights and I wanted to say I really like it.

The expansion joins creaking after shutdown is a really nice touch.

I have most of fsw's aircraft and this is my favorite by far.

Hi, how do I turn on the payware PMS50?

414 Realistic Weights Config?

Love the plane, but the loading of the plane is incredibly frustrating. Seems the tablet is the only way to configure weights, and their selections are fictitious to say the least.

Is there a way we can edit the tablet weights?.. And for that matter it would be nice if the tablet would allow the user to set the weights, as opposed to per-selected numbers.

EFB Unable to Launch

Brand new to the C414. Step 1 to launch the EFB but no luck to launch the EFB to the side window mount. After reading several two year old posts with similar problems, nothing has worked. It worked yesterday but not today with no changes having been made. I have clicked all over the left pilot triangle window; have clicked the upped left portion of the EFB as described in the manual; have tried the upper small circle on the EFB; have tried different aircraft liveries and reloaded aircraft and re-booted PC. The next step is to delete the entire aircraft and re-install. This is not as good start spending more than one hour to launch the EFB.

C414 VR Yoke Grab Issue

When in VR (Quest 2) and you grab the yoke using the VR controllers the yoke overreacts where any slight movement will cause the yoke to deflect 100% in either direction to left/right.

As far as the fore/aft movement is concerned, it is under reacting and moves much too little.

Can this be fixed?...and I was wondering if the Lear has this same issue in VR?

414 strange Visual Effects

Hi everybody,

first of all: I really like the 414 🙂 But I have strange visual effects in my Sim with this Aircraft.
I've bought the 414 via the MS Marketplace. It shows me a version 4.4.1 from May29 2023.

When I start using the 414 I have always small green lines winding around the Aircraft. It looks like a visualisation for airstreams or so.
This is espacially around the engines and covers the whole plane. It changes with speed and direction of wind on the ground.
The 414 is the only aircraft with this effect other bought aircrafts like the Milviz310 doesn't have this behavior.
Developer mode is off - not active. But changes nothing if activated.

Unfortuantly I can not upload any picture - because I don't know how or if this is possible here.

Can someone pls give me a hint how to get rid of these visual lines?

Cessna 414 pulling hard left problem

Hi, I have recently purchased the Cessna 414 and its great but I'm having issues with it pulling left no matter the engine power settings and even with the right engine off it still pulls left (nose gear and rudder centred). The left brake isn't on either. Sometimes its fine on initial load up and then it occurs, other times it happens straight away. I'm lost on how to fix this.

C414: Some 8.33 frq are not working?!

Hi,

first of all I love flying the C414, very well modelled and great detail.

Since VATSIM changed to 8.33 frequencies, I discovered the problem being unable to set some of them. YES, I have 8.33khz active in the setup 😉

For example, 119,880 ist not working. I am unable to switch to this one.

Any help please?

C414 LPV Approach with GNS530

Hi,

I recently found a video on youtube by Sprocket Simulations where an RNAV approach into KSBA is demonstrated with LPV coupled on the GNS530 livery. Please see 17:00 minutes into the video.

I don't have any issues with LPV coupled approaches on PMS GTN 750, however I have been unable to reproduce this with the C414 GNS 530 livery as demonstrated by the above video.

The video instructs to install WT GNS530 package from Content Manager (which I have done). However, this video is now 8 months old and there is now a message on WT GitHub page (https://github.com/Working-Title-MSFS-Mods/fspackages) (DEPRECATION NOTICE see below).

So I am not sure if something has changed and the LPV capture has become broken on FSW C414 GNS530. All I see when joining final on the GPS is APPR (no vertical guidance) not LPV, and AH displays white-red GS INOP flag.

1) Is LPV capture on the GNS530 livery supposed to be still working, or is it currently broken (i.e. a known issue)?

2) With an fully updated MSFS, do I still need to explicitly install WT GNS 430/530 package from Content Manager for C414, or can I exclusively rely on Aricraft Avionics Update 1?

This page (https://www.workingtitle.aero/packages/gns/) talks about compatibility issues with hot swapping between GNS530 and other GTN units (like PMS), however I don't this this applies to FSW C414 as a separate panel is provided per navigator. I have both the WT GNS530 package installed as well as PMS GTN 750 for use with the different livery options.

414AW gauges not working

Hope I'm not in the wrong forum for this question, but I've sent this problem to Flysimware with no response. My problem is after a major crash on my PC, and rebuild of the OS, reinstallation of

MSFS2020, and reinstall of Flysimware Cessna 414AW v4.4.1, I no longer have working panel gauges, needles are there, but non-working. I've reinstalled several times with same result, so is it possible that I've exceeded my downloads from Flysimware download site, and if so, am I required to purchase again? I bring this up, because I've had this happen before with FSX aircraft, usually due to and error on the vendors part. Everything about the rebuilt OS, MSFS2020, and Cessna 414AW are current. Any thought would be appreciated, as I'm tired of chasing my tail on this problem. I've tried everything! Thanks in advance.

Comes up with a message, that it can't find the UserCFG.opt file. When I click the AVSIM link on the installer, it's a page describing editing the file. I don't know why it would do that since, the error was that 'it' can't find the file.

I edited the file and verified the packages directory was correct, but still doesn't work. The 'next' button is greyed out. I tried both Steam (which I have) and Windows Store option
