1.2.4 is an enhancement release. The first enhancement is an integration to SayIntentions.AI ATC. This integration allows SayIntentions.AI to control for which controller chatter should be played. It also supports pausing chatter playback when SayIntentions.AI indicates that the radio is busy due to pilot/ATC transmission, ATIS monitoring, other nearby pilot transmissions, and canned or generated SayIntions.AI chatter.

 

 

The demo clip set has also been increased from 400 to 1,000 clips in the U.S. The larger demo clip set will allow SayIntentions.AI users to participate in this open data with a reasonable set of free clips. FS ATC Chatter was just worklng flawlessly over years but suddenly, without changing any settings, I cannot hear the files anymore.

Version 1.2.3.

The files are actually played, as can be seen on the APP-window, but they are inaudible.

The output device is correctly set.

APP runs as administrator.

Re-Install did not fix the issue.

When I click on a file within the FS ATC CHATTER folder, it plays flawlessly, so the files do not seem to be corrupted.

Request assistance please.

On a short flight from EGGW to EGKK (iFly 737 Max), and above London city, I experience a CTD. Is this a known issue, or is this perhaps a function of being out over London? I want to be sure that if I purchase the program, I don't experience CTD's often. I rarely, if ever, experience CTD's during flight.

This should reflect fullstops between the digits.

However, the seperation between longetude and latitude is quite correct with the use of a comma.

I recently purchased FS-ATC Chatter. I've installed it on the same client that I have P2ATC installed. P2ATC connects to the simulator and works fine, although I haven't set it up to use FS-ATC Chatter yet.

The problem I have is getting the FS-ATC Player to connect to the simulator. I've changed the address in the FS-ATC Simconnect.cfg  folder to the address of the server that FS2020 resides on. I left the port at 500 for now as I know it's open through the firewall. Does this folder have to be placed elsewhere or does it stay in the main FS-ATC folder?  I've also set sharing to the FS-ATC folder. I looked at the tutorial and it gave a location to show how to set up the Simconnect.xml file, so I added the example and changed the address to that of my client and the port to 500.

I still can't get a connection to the simulator so I'm asking for a little help to solve the issue I'm having. I have lots of apps on this client connecting to the simulator so I'm quite sure it's not a network issue and pretty sure that I just need a little more clarification on how to setup simconnect correctly between client and server.

I'm also interested this for X-ATC-Chatter too. That player is due to be rewritten using a more modern UI technology on X-Plane and I would like to have it match the FS-ATC-Chatter player capability as best I can.

Please leave a reply with any suggestions for improvement. Here are a few ideas we have heard:

  • Automatic selection of regions based on your location
  • Combine the nearest facility window with the control panel window in some form
  • Have FS-ATC-Chatter use text to speech to tell you to tune to the next center frequency as you are getting close to being out of range
  • Possibly add a pilot to pilot voice capability for group flights
    • We don't want to replace VatSim, PilotEdge, or POSCON with this but something that is a little lighter
    • Mostly makes sense for FS2020 where you can already see other player's planes
    • There are some solutions out there now using Discord but we are not sure how good they are
    • Feedback and thoughts on this idea would be very useful

Is it difficult (or expensive) to get software approved for purchase from the MSFS 2020 Xbox Marketplace? I ask, because I use your ATC Chatter with X-Plane on a Windows PC, and I love it. Recently, I bought an Xbox that I use for MSFS 2020. I see that you have a version of Chatter for MSFS, and a player for it. But the only software that can be added to MSFS on an Xbox has to be purchased and downloaded from the Xbox Marketplace. If the FS-Chatter Player were available from the Marketplace, I'd buy it in the blink of an eye. And I suspect that other Xbox users would as well, because MSFS's built-in ATC is not very realistic.
