	Hi,<br />
	I'm new to MSFS2020 and have purchased your beautiful Boeing 314 flying boats!<br />
	In your manual, part 1, you refer to 18 seaplane airports that are available for free after registering on your website or MSFS Marketplace! However, I can't find these seaplane airports in either location?! What can I do?
</p>

<p>
	My second question is, under which items can I select the differential motors I need for the four separate engines on my joystick with a single throttle (for all engines)?<br />
	<br />
	Regards, <br />

	Is there any way to enable this plane to follow a GPS flight plan?  When I use the PMS50 as an external autopilot, the Nav function never activates.  Altitude and heading holds work fine, but not Nav.  It’s really needed for those long over-water flights.

	Just downloaded the update and getting ready to fly.  I note the manual refers to a "DF Switch" but can't find that.  Any help of finding the switch would be appreciated.  Also note the "Cockpit Escape Hatch" Switch does not move.  The hatch opens and closes but no switch movement.  Finally, the manual has a hot link referring to FAQ page.  Just took me to the home page but can find no FAQ there.

<p>
	<em>I've extracted this post from another thread as many people are querying the state of the passenger cabin. It applies to both the Prepar3D version and the MSFS version.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<em>---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------</em>
</p>

<p>
	To quote me from the PILOT'S support forum on Avsim:
</p>

<p>
	"Unfortunately the interior in the Foynes replica is just wrong from nose to tail. At the time it was built, it was built with the best information available (hence the Pan Am colour scheme)  but much more has come to light since."
</p>

<p>
	You just need to search "Boeing 314" in Google. Be careful though; much that is marked as Boeing B-314 is Sikorsky S-40/S-42, Martin M-130 and Boeing B-307/B-377.
</p>

<p>
	Also a full passenger cabin willl never be done for one good reason: there isn't enough publically available information out there to model it. What is there in MSFS is representational only because it can be seen through the windows. Trust me - I've looked and looked when I was doing the Prepar3D version. I know where there is information (and colour photographs at that, taken by Bay Area photographer Clyde H. Sunderland) but
</p>

<p>
	a) Visual China can't be bothered to look for them (the Pan American Heritage Foundation has tried to persuade them to do so). Visual China bought Getty who bought Clyde's photographs from Pacific Aerial Surveys
</p>

<p>
	b) if they actually knew which archives they were in (which according to PAHF, Visual China's responses indicated that they most likely don't know), the cost per photograph for commercial use would be too high.
</p>

<p>
	I also know from talking to the Boeing archivists (not emailing) that Boeing do not have any additional information on the Model 314 over and above what is shown on their Archives website. The Smithsonian Museum were the recipients of the last remaining Model 314 archives from Boeing which consists of one Flight Operations Manual, one Maintenance Manual and the Rigging Manual (again, a phone call). The British Airways BOAC archives are non-searchable (except manually) and their archivists are volunteers who simply don't have the time to deal with small requests like mine (two phone calls).
</p>

<p>
	That, to my regret, is a complete dead end.
</p>

<p>

<p>
	Just in time for the weekend, we are happy to inform you that the v1.1 update for the PILOT'S Boeing B-314 is now available.
</p>

<p>
	There has been an extensive overhaul of the VC textures, as per the feedback we received. We have also changed and greatly improved how the flying boat now handles on water, here is short video to illustrate this:
</p>

<div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo">

<p>
	A special thanks to <strong>Stearman948713</strong> for his tweaking of some of the contact points!
</p>

<p>
	I'll leave you with a few screenshots showing the new VC textures.

<p>
	In case you’re not already aware, we have now released another update, PILOT’S B-314 - The Clipper v1.55 is now available!
</p>

<p>
	The PILOT’S B-314 for MSFS is now also available via Aerosoft, JustFlight and simMarket. The B-314 is now in the Marketplace cue, I’ve been pressing the Marketplace Team for a release ETA, and at present they are unable to commit to a specific timeline.
</p>

<p>
	I would like to extend a big thanks to FlyingsCool5650 for the suggested overhaul of the camera views, these how now been incorporated in this latest update!
</p>

<p>
	Through much trial and error we discovered that there is a bug with the Center fuel tanks. I have now recoded the fuel tank logic and replaced the two Center fuel tanks, the B-314 engines will now no longer suffer from any sudden fuel starvation due to the Center fuel tanks not feeding the engines correctly.
</p>

<p>
	I have also modified the Fuel Tank Gauge logic, for some reason these had originally been coded to a percentage value instead of a gallon value and thus behaved incorrectly.
</p>

<p>
	Many thanks again for all your valuable feedback, I trust you will enjoy this very latest update, our 6th since the initial release 6 weeks ago.
</p>

<p>
	I leave you with some shots of the B-314 moored at the magnificent Hamilton Island.

<p>
	Have done just a few flights and have some questions on several items that appear to be inop or not working as they should:
</p>

<ol><li>
		No Cylinder Head Temperatures...Pyrometer inop.  I saw this on some other posts but also saw where it was going to be fixed on the next update.  I'm using version 1.62...should it be working?
	</li>
	<li>
		Aileron Trim is reversed.  Move it left to lower the right wing and visa-versa
	</li>
	<li>
		ASI reads 10 knots fast compared to what the sim and LNM says.  Find I need about 85 - 100 knots (which both the sim and LNM say is 75 - 90 knots) indicated to get it off the water...not the 70 knots referenced in the manual.
	</li>
	<li>
		Pilot's and Engineers Tach's don't match...about 150 RPM difference.
	</li>
	<li>
		Master Ign. defaults to ON.  Even if I have it OFF at the end of a flight...the next time I load the aircraft it is set to ON.
	</li>
	<li>
		No aileron nor elevator adjustment on the GyroPilot
	</li>
	<li>
		No ADF turner.  Nothing on the radio stack allows for tuning a KC range.  Manual says radio 2 but that shows in MC.
	</li>
	<li>
		Can't find anything related to activating Carburetor Heat.
	</li>
</ol><p>
	Would appreciate a response letting me know "do I have a bad instillation and need to re-install", "am I doing something wrong" or "will these be corrected in the near future"?
</p>

<p>
	Thanks,
</p>

<p>
	I know this is pilot error since no one else has reported this yet.<br />
	I followed the tutorial to enable the Gyro pilot, however the heading drifts (mostly towards the co-pilot -- starboard) during a flight.<br />
	My altitude remains rock-solid, so I figure I have part of it (Gyro pilot) enabled correctly.
</p>

<p>
	Few things to nte<br />
	I set the "bypass valves" to their default setting of 3<br />
	I trim the aircraft to fly straight and level before enabling the gyro-pilot<br />
	I enabled the two levers by my seat:<br />
	Right one first to pressurize the system (wait for pressures to stabilize)<br />
	Left one to enable GP
</p>

<p>
	The plane stays straight for a while, then begins to drift.<br /><br />
	Is there anything I am doing wrong?<br />
	I have 1.62 installed in MSFS (latest build / updates) running on Win 10 professional

<p>
	So far we have found no incompatibilities with P3D v6.0.
</p>

<p>
	Cockpit/external lighting: P3D v6.0 has new graphics options under the Options | Live Graphics; specifically tab 1 (Graphics) and tab 3 (Tone Mapping). Under Tone Mapping you do not need to adjust the Toe settings; leave them at zero. Lockheed-Martin have done a very good job of allowing you to balance internal and external lighting. Be aware that in the initial release (6.0) the Gamma slider works the wrong way round. I believe LM intend to fix this in the first patch/hotfix.

<p>
	There is a bug in P3D v5.4 that is preventing the three artificial horizons (bank and climb indicators) from working. This only affects the B-314; the B314-A has different code and works okay. The B-314 works in v5.3 and also works in v6.0, so I won't be issuing a fix for v5.4 because of the danger of possibly introducing errors to the other versions of the sim.

	Is there any reason the Clipper would CTD in version 5.4. I've tried a couple of flights now and CTD both times. Can you confirm it's compatible or do we need a patch? Just asking because RXP, Active Sky, FSLabs all needed a patch but PMDG and A2A did not.

<p>
	The pitch bug on the Captain side attitude indicator has been addressed and fixed too.

<p>
	Thank you all for the very positive and productive feedback we've received since release!
</p>

<p>
	I’m happy to announce that PILOT’S B-314 - The Clipper v1.3 is now available!
</p>

<p>
	With the help of Asobo’s input I have been able to work around the issue of LVAR values not being properly passed through to animate certain switches and dials. I have recoded the fuel dial logic and the fuel dials are now in their correct position, both when you start from Cold &amp; Dark or from a water runway position, as per the screenshots below.
</p>

<p>
	The flight model has also seen some minor changes, mostly to enhance the overall heavy feeling of the Clipper, both on the water and when airborne.
</p>

<p>
	We hope you enjoy this latest update, our 4th since the initial release 4 weeks ago.
</p>

<p>
	Jerome

<p>
	I am happy to let you all know that PILOT’S B-314 - The Clipper v1.15 is now available!
</p>

<p>
	Numerous items have been addressed, the external exits are now animated and functional, you can open and close them by using the switches on the communications panel, which is situated to the left of the Engineer Panel at the back of the VC.
</p>

<p>
	The VC wing access doors are also animated and can be opened via their respective door handle.
</p>

<p>
	The bug fix I had put in place for the Hobbs meter seems to be working too now, I welcome your feedback on this 2nd update within 2 weeks of our initial release.

<p>
	It’s been another very busy week for us at PILOT’S. Our 3rd B-314 update since the official first release 3 weeks ago was finalized late yesterday, I’m pleased to be able to inform you that PILOT’S B-314 - The Clipper v1.2 is now available!
</p>

<p>
	We’ve managed to find a solution for the mooring lines to now show when the B-314 is moored at startup in a Cold &amp; Dark state, they should then release the B-314 once the mooring switch is in the OFF position.
</p>

<p>
	As per a customer request, the hide/show yoke clickspots have now been repositioned. I have also taken the hide/show copilot clickspot and moved it to the rudder pedal area, close to the hide/show copilot yoke clickspot.
</p>

<p>
	We have also added a new livery for the B-314A, the BOAC B-314A Bristol livery, the flag ship of the three Boeing B-314A flying boats of the British Overseas Airways Corporation - see the screenshots below!
</p>

<p>
	I’ve also revised the Gyropilot code, heading hold should now be a lot more robust.
</p>

<p>
	As previously, I welcome your feedback on this 3rd update within 3 weeks of our initial release.
</p>
