Just got the aircraft, and am struggling through the RXP GTN integration..

	1. In the XL560 aircraft folder there is a file called RXPGTN750XL560.exe which you should run.

	After that, the GTN shows up in the panel.

	2. Close down P3D and go back to the XL560 aircraft folder and edit the RealityXP.GTN.ini file with Notepad, adding three lines if they are not already there:

	[GTN_750_1]
; is the master device if true.
MasterDevice = true
; aviation db: 0: nav_db2_grm, 1: nav_db2, 2: nav_heli_db2_grmn, 3: nav_heli_db2
NavDbType = 1
VoicePref = MALE
; connects to: 'PFC_GTN' or any '#PID' (#D067 for PFC_GTN)
; no value connects to first found, 'OFF' disables connection.
HardwareDevice =
; hardware selector number or -1 to disable.
HardwareIdx = -1
LinkCrs = true
LinkVor = true
UseSimGpsCmds = true

	Now, start up the airplane, and advance the GTN 750 to the Test page (hit Continue twice).

	3. Verify that the HSI on the PFD correctly shows the CDI needle deflections and the glideslope indicator is active.

	If OK, the GTN should be able to drive the autopilot in NAV mode with the PFD in VOR1 mode.

	I find that keeping the autopilot popup window visible works best, for now..

	I was super excited to hear about Carenado releasing this and knew I had to buy it. I have about 2000 hours in the real C56X and call it 'the best all around compromise' as far as business jets go.

I have only done one short shakedown flight tonight and was overall impressed. I don't know who had the idea to put a Primus 1000 in there because as far as I know, no Excel has one of those and I have flown 30 or 40 different tails. The visual model is very nice, and the performance/flight dynamics seemed pretty accurate after the first hop. I will also say that I am happy the Thrust detentes are modeled well!

The list of things I took notes on that may be fixable for v1.1 -

Cold and Dark Setup -
- Press Source is never really moved from NORM and would never be placed OFF after shutdown
- Window Heat stays On at All times, even after shutdown (it is temperature limited and only is heated when it gets below a certain temp)
- Fuel Boost should never have to be moved from NORM and would be left there overnight

- HDG knob moves slowwwwwwwwww. I can barely keep it in front of the turn. How can I make that spin faster?

- The autopilot modes that are selected (on the mode control button row above the MFD, below the engine instruments) should have a green border around the button when active. Just like the default Lear 45...

- GND Idle Annunciation Illuminates at Idle Thrust in the air? This is a weight on wheels switch that changes the idle speed when on the ground to keep taxi speeds reasonable. If it is illuminating when airborne - something is wrong. Anytime you are on the ground though, whether at idle power or not, this white annunciation should be on.

- The altitude selector knob seems buggy. I can't get the 100/1000 to work, and apparently if you click left the AP goes into pitch mode??? That isn't a thing. Those knobs are just knobs. No push/pull function. On that note, even if you are cruising around in ALT mode and change the altitude selector, it should stay in ALT. This sim goes into PIT mode way too easily. The only time you would get that is if you manually deselected another pitch mode (VNAV/ALT/VS/FLC) or turned the AP on without first giving the FD a pitch mode.

- Speedbrake is WAYYYYYYY too effective. We joke in the real one that it really just rumbles and makes some noise without slowing us much at all. Reducing its effectiveness by at least 50% would get it closer.

- Flap extension in the visual model look like about 2 degrees, then 5 degrees, then 35 degrees vs 7/15/35

- AoA indexer above the glareshield doesn't seem to do anything...? Always a green 'on alpha' dot. This system only works when the nose gear is down and locked, and is obviously referencing Vso 1.3 AoA from the AoA gauge on the left panel. Navy airplanes since like FS2002 have had a working indexer so I am sure that you can figure it out.

- I had to turn the RH Fuel Pump to ON to get the APU to start. While yes, the APU drinks from the right tank, pump operation is automatic.

	- Wing AI annunciation was on at all times with the E/WAI switch off. The only time this light comes on is if the wing (or engine for the engine AI light) heat is selected on, and the power is below 72% N2. Basically saying 'hey, you want heat, but there isnt enough power/air/heat from the engines to guarantee a good enough job.' It becomes annoying sometimes during decent because you are at idle thrust, and getting master cautions left and right.

- I don't know where you recorded all of the cockpit alert sounds from, but it wasn't a straight XL like the one that you modeled. I am not super familiar with the XLS+ and maybe you used sounds from that avionics set, but the overspeed tone is not correct. On that note, the only real noise you get is from the overspeed. Master Caution and Master Warnings are silent with only the lights going off. Also I noticed that the Pass Safety/Seat Belt sign switch doesn't "ding" like it should. That would have been super easy to get right as well.

- GPWS isn't accurate. I think the real one only gives a 500' call. It has been 2 months since I have flown one though but I have a lot of videos I can reference.

- Pressurization panel is....i have no idea what is going on with that. In normal operation you would set the landing field elevation there and let it run in auto. ie - 4500' = 45.

Anyway. I wish I could have helped beta test to help get some of these little details right! A patch would be nice. I didn't even try the VNAV or anything yet, but as difficult as this PRIMUS 1000 is to use, I am not holding my breath. It really feels like you took the default GPS functions and made it look like a Primus 1000. Can't seem to go direct to anything while keeping the flight plan in etc etc.

Wrapping up an older Netjets livery. This livery is also common on a number of Excels once they leave NetJets, too, so expect a few additional repaints from it as well. And while this represents about 10 hours of work so far 🙄 I still have a few things to tweak... But, I hope to get this to you all very soon! Screenshot is in P3Dv4 but I plan to make it compatible for FSX as well. You can expect a NetJets Europe version as well. Stay tuned!

	I'm wrapping up N29ZR, operated on charter by Mountain Aviation from Rocky Mountain Metro airport in Broomfield, CO. While this appears to be a simple repaint, relatively speaking, it was not so simple to paint with Carenado's usual "fun" textures sheets (it represents about 5 hours of work. ugh!). But, I'm pretty happy with the results. If there's interest, I'll make it available on Avsim within the next day or two and update this thread with the link.

Yesterday i reportet Carenado this error and they said i should try i reinstall, but this time selecting FSX instead of FSX:SE, however i tried that but unfortunately always the same Issue. I dont know what to do anymore, can anyone help?

	Well, after reading all the work you guys have done on this bird, I bought it today, installed it, and had the same problem I have had with other Carenado aircraft.

	Frame rates less than 5. Running FSX. I have a mid range system 4.6 on the CPU and a Titan X. So my system should not be overpowered. I have seen this in the past and sometimes it is cured by playing around with accesses to the Carenadonavigraph folder. So I changed some permissions and accesses with no joy. Before installing the 560 I uninstalled all my other Carenado aircraft as I have seen some interference in the past.

	Right now this one is dead. I know I can go to the GTN but I would really like to have one of the Carenados actually work in "native mode".

	I'd appreciate any ideas.

	Thanks

	Hello everyone.

	I was installing Chase Plane into My P3D v4.5 and a number of the keyboard shortcuts were getting in the way. So I started removing the ones I don't use (which is quite a lot of them).

	I think I deleted the " Shift+8" keyboard assignment. As you know, that assignment turns on the popup for setting the Aircraft State.

	Needless to say, I can't do that now So, if you have this aircraft, can someone look to see what command this shortcut launches so I can put it back in the keyboard assignments profile.

	I've even gone so far as to delete the carenado folder and reinstalled it. That didn't seem to work.

	Well, I have this aircraft working at 1.2 level and I must say that I think this is the most complete Carenado aircraft that I have purchased. Good frames, reasonable VAS (running FSX) and everything seems to work. I don't ask her to do a lot, but she does what I need to get from Point A to Point B, and TO and landing safely. Still exploring all the functions, but so far so good.

	What is up with these station loads on the 560XL?

reference_datum_position = 0.0, 0, 0

station_load.0 =  190,  5, 0, 0
station_load.1 =  190,  5, 0, 0
station_load.2 =    0,  4, 0, 0
station_load.3 =    0,  3, 0, 0
station_load.4 =    0,  1, 0, 0
station_load.5 =    0,  1, 0, 0
station_load.6 =    0, -1, 0, 0
station_load.7 =    0, -1, 0, 0
station_load.8 =    0, -2, 0, 0

	OK, and so then I looked at the C90 GTX and it has this (the comments are what I'm referring to, which the XLS doesn't have):

station_load.0 = 175,  2, 0,  1        //Weight (lbs), longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet)
.
.
station_load.9 = 110, -5, 0, -1        //Weight (lbs), longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet)

	If these distances are in fact feet that would mean the 560XL's "station_load.0" which is the pilot's seat and "station_load.8" (the aft baggage compartment) are separated by only 7 feet longitudinally (5 feet ahead of the datum and -2 feet behind the datum = 7 ft). According to some specs I found on the web the XLS' overall length is 52.5 ft so I'm having a hard time with the 7 foot distance. If these XYZ station_load coordinates are actually in meters that would make the pilot's seat about 25 feet forward of the rear baggage compartment and that I could probably swallow. So what is it, are they in feet or meters? For that matter the GTX looks completely messed up too, same thing, 7 feet between the pilot's seat and the aft baggage compartment.

	I was trying to make the 560's station loads a little more accurate, for one thing the last two seats in the back are completely missing so if you want to load the plane to it's max capacity of pilot & copilot + 8 passengers you have to add the last two passengers sitting on someone else's lap to get the weight where you want it and the moment arm is screwy because the last two occupants should be further back. Also laterally all the weights are exactly on the aircraft's centerline at "0" which makes for a nice laterally balanced flight model but it isn't accurate.

	I zeroed the eyepoint temporarily in the aircraft.cfg and then moved the VC viewpoint around to each seat (visually) one at a time and saved the flight for each position. Then I got the InitialXyz for each station from the .fxml which I'm told is in meters and tried to adapt that to the station_loads. They were fairly close to what Carenado had for the seats that existed, but then when I see the comments in the GTX [WEIGHT_AND_BALANCE] section that these distances are supposedly in feet the discrepancy became apparent. It's not a big deal to convert meters to feet of course, I just don't know which is correct.

	Any FDE experts reading that have done this before? Station loads in feet or meters?

	A little Help Please,

	I looked everywhere in the XL560 Carenado provided documentation , but ALAS no help.

	On the stock XL560,What to do the following acronyms in the Menu buttons at the bottom of the MFD stand for?

		“SNGP”?

		Select/Click SNGP -->” TO”?

		“ST EL”?

		“VANG”?

	Finally , Where do I find the FD ( FlightDirector) switch. ?, I see the AP switch at the bottom right of the CoPilot CDU BUT no FD switch.

	Best
