So, with Learjet35 loaded on tarmac in msfs2024... the fsw binding app starts to load up and just quits at some point while loading, before it ever gets beyond the splash screen.

	Is this a known issue?

FlySimWare – Lancair Legacy Project Announcement

We’re excited to officially share that FlySimWare is nearing release of our long-in-development Lancair Legacy for MSFS.

This project has been in development for quite some time and is now approaching the final stretch. Our goal from day one has been to deliver the most accurate and complete Legacy simulation possible, developed with direct real-world pilot involvement and extensive aircraft documentation.

Our release will include multiple variants:

	• Lancair Legacy – Naturally Aspirated configuration
• Lancair Legacy – Turbocharged configuration
• Starhawk Legacy – Full glass cockpit configuration

The Starhawk variant will feature full glass avionics integration, including support for both the PMS50 GTN 750 and the TDS GTN 750Xi, offering flexibility for users depending on their preferred ecosystem.

From a systems standpoint, we are modeling the aircraft with full real-world electrical architecture and circuit fidelity. Every primary and secondary circuit is represented, with accurate system depth across analog and modern configurations. Both normally aspirated and turbocharged performance profiles are being developed to reflect their real-world operational characteristics.

	Performance targets:
• Authentic piston flight modeling
• Accurate turbo altitude performance retention
• True-to-life handling characteristics of the Legacy airframe

In addition, we are already developing a dedicated expansion pack planned for this summer: a Reno race-prepared Legacy variant. This race version is being created in direct collaboration with Andrew Findlay, who campaigns the aircraft in real-world competition. We have secured proper authorization to represent the aircraft, its markings, and logos, and are working closely to ensure it reflects the real race platform as accurately as possible.

This expansion will allow sim pilots to experience a true race-configured Legacy suitable for Reno-style events and competitive flying scenarios.

Visually, the aircraft has reached a level of fidelity where it closely mirrors the real airframe in materials, textures, and modeling precision. We will be sharing development images to showcase the current state of the project.

We look forward to sharing more as we approach release.

Hi. I don’t see a way to add a pilot and copilot. The W/B page of the FSW EFB starts at seats 3 & 4.

I tried in the default MSFS '24 EFB but adding passenger weights is buggy and impossible. The CGs between the two EFBs do not sync.

Hi 🙂. This is a different issue.

The COM2 only shows 2 decimals. In the US these 25 khz radios should tune 3 decimals by ignoring (not rounding) the third. So does the COM2 radio work?

I occasionally hear mic key sounds but not ATIS (that COM1 picks up).

Hi 🙂 I'm only seeing the volume dial functioning. The COM1/COM2 switch only restarts the ATIS broadcast instead of switching the focus to each com.

That makes me think the analog Com 2 radio is not functional since the com switch doesn't seem right. I realize Com 2 is already limited to not tuning 3 decimal frequencies

Hi guys. I just purchased the new Learjet 35a for MSFS 2020. I am a retired corporate/charter Chief Pilot with more than 11,000 hours in Lear Jets (24, 31, 35, 55) in which more than 8,000 hours over 26 years in the Lear 35a since 1977 with VLF navigation and as recent as 2018 with King and Garmin panel mount GPS systems. I have flown Lears almost half of my 23,600+ flight hours including 14,000+ in corporate jets (Lear, Gulfstrem 3 and 4, Falcon 50). I am thrilled to again get my hands on my old friend, a steam gauge Lear 35.

I only have a few hours in the new Lear 35 sim for MSFS 2020 and am impressed and pleased. It look great and feels right at home with the panel mount Garmin.

I know the product is new and many updates are in work. I haven't found too much to nick pick about yet but I do want to comment on a few things that need to be worked that I've noticed so far. Mostly the fuel and fuel transfer system has caught my attention. The fuel panel light sequencings look correct but the resultant pressure don't.

The fuselage fuel tank transfer/fill speed is way too slow. In reality the fuel transfer for the 200 gallon/1,340 pound fuselage tank is about 47 pounds per minute (2,820 pounds/hour) and will transfer completely in about 30 minutes. So far it seems that the simulator only transfers and fills at about 8 pounds per minute or 71.6 gallons per hour. Right now it would take about 2 hours and 45 minutes to transfer and/or fill the fuselage tank. IRL, if a crew was asleep at the switch (pun intended) and forgot to bring fuselage fuel forward until alerted by Warning Lights to impending flame-out due to empty wing fuel, the transfer system is fast enough to keep fuel to the engine even at low altitude/high power. Not so at the current transfer rate in the simulator. So the low transfer rate is a safety. Trust me, forgetting to bring fuselage fuel forward is a thing.

As far as fuselage fill with the current sim config, so much for a quick turn at a fuel stop. Kinda like stopping every couple hundred miles in your new EV and having lunch while waiting to recharge your batteries. In regards to refilling an empty fuselage tank you would have time to go see a movie waiting to refill. 🙂 You could drive a car over 200 miles in that time.

Another thing that I noticed in the sim is that: In the real Lear 35, turning off a jet pump and standby fuel pump with the engines running should cause a Red Fuel Pressure Warning light and possible engine flame out if above lower flight levels (depending on O.A.T.) due to the inability to suction fuel feed engines at higher altitudes.

In the new sim version shutting off a jet pump and standby pump does Not cause fuel pressure lights. I haven't yet tried to shut off a jet pump and standby pump at higher flight levels to see if I get a flame-out as expected. I also have not yet tried to pump fuel left and/or right using cross-feed and differential pressure using one standby pump on with cross-feed open.

Is there a config file value somewhere that can be edited to speed up the transfer/fill rate?

I agree with several commenters that the autopilot speed hold and vertical speed hold IRL were sloppy and not comfortable for the folks on board but they seem to work pretty well in this sim version. That is a good thing because I can't figure out how to key bind or H.O.T.A.S. bind the barrel switch on the control wheel so have to keep the yoke in view to be able to control autopilot pitch using the mouse which is a PITA and in the Lear 35 with its OEM seats your 'A' is prolly already sore. (Lear 55 seat MOD is really worth it.)

I would like to have the ability bind keys and/or H.O.T.A.S. for the pitch (and roll) barrel switch and binds for the Steer Lock switch. I would also like advise on how to set-up binds to be able to reverse both engines. I don't know how to use mouse clicks to reverse both engines during a busy landing roll. The spoiler axis H.O.T.A.S. bind do work.

Thanks guys for doing the Lear 35 and doing it well. I have been retired for almost six years but still fly almost every day with my sim set up a home. I have missed the Lear 35 and steam gauges I never did like the Gulfstream 4 glass cockpit as well as I liked the Gulfstream 3 with round analog flight instruments surrounding glass MFDs.

This bird brings back more memories than any other MSFS (or XPlane 11/12) available. When they get the new upcoming CH-47 Chinook done sometime early this year I will be a happy camper re-united with my first love, the Chinook, and my long time companion the Lear 35.

I'll be flying the Lear sim a lot in the near future and commenting more soon.

	Hello,

I have the FMS expansion pack V1.5 for the Lear 35. I have noticed that the CDI on the HSI gives incorrect readings in FMS mode. For example, the CDI gives indications that I need to turn left to intercept required course but I need to turn right. If I turn towards CDI I get further away from track. The autopilot in NAV mode will turn opposite to what the CDI indicates and will get back on track. Anyone else having problems with this?

a fellow simmer showed me this bug on his Flysimware Cessna 414 on the cockpit overhead panel lights. It looks like this glitch was caused by the previous update.

 Microsoft 'upgraded' P3D to MSFS.

It seems to me, it's only logical that Flysimware do the same to their Learjet 35A and the Falcon 50, and *also* offer a modern jet as their next project.

It would make sense, since they apparently already have access to a subject matter expert (SME, see below) and the aircraft.

Quote:....
I fly two FC530 equipped 35A's, and an FC550 equipped 55. We almost exclusively use pitch mode for climbs and descents, with the occasional engagement of VS mode in a descent. IAS/MACH is useless from a passenger comfort standpoint. It constantly hunts around for the target speed, and never really stabilizes. As you know, its a reactionary system. We spend most climbs and descents constantly bumping the trim barrel to keep it where we want it.

I am posting this in case anyone else has been having this problem.

I did what was in the thread below for the 402, 441, and MU2 and all worked with the autopilot except Glide slope coupling on LPV approaches. All 3 airplanes would not couple until I added the Connect GPS to VOR1 indicator setting in the RXP settings for the airplanes. I also changed the VLOC source to VOR1 instead of Auto. Until I did that the airplanes would not couple and cause the Flight Director to command a descent on the Glideslope on LPV approaches. It would just continue flying inbound at the intercept altitude with the APR staying on ARM. I never saw this setting mentioned as being needed but I tried it anyway and now all 3 airplanes are doing what they are supposed to do in the testing that I have done so far. This worked on P3D V4 and original FSX SP2.

I also have the Falcon 50 and Lear 35A and since they have the explicit settings for RXP GTN750, they both have been working fine.

Flysimware has completed the transition to a new dedicated high speed server, so while a few new server start-up bugs may crop up, in general you should not have a problem downloading from the Flysimware store or website. As a test I tried downloading the C414 installer from the FSW store and it took less than one minute. Of course this also depends on your local internet service speeds.

Hello, I tried to create a new account at the FSW store last night so I could buy the new 414. I never got an email to activate the account, this would have been about ten hours ago. Checked my junk mail and all that usual stuff.

	Thanks.

	Hi,

I was wondering if you plan to bring your fantastic Learjet 35 into MSFS at some point? I loved it in P3D but have completely switched to MSFS now and I'd really like to fly it in the new sim. The modern business jets are not my cup of tea unfortunately, too technical, I loved it that the Lear 35 feels like a super fast GA plane rather than an Airliner.

	Hello guys,

I notice the altitude hold of the autopilot seems to suddenly disconnet. Altitude drops or increases and autopilot authority seems to malfunction(does nothing about it).

I remember an update in the past but did a search around and cant find it. Also noticed V4.3c is still latest version, right?.

	Thanks for support...

Hi I'm really interested in the flysimware FMS but there's barely any info about it.

Will you post some more preview, videos for example? I'm curious about vertical navigation, it's handling of holdings and editing of more complicated arrival and approach combos.

does it handle vertical path properly? as you know apart from PMDG, there isn't any properly working FMS on the market. I had many bad experiences it would be nice to see before I buy

	thx.
