I purchased the Carenado da62 and have been having some issues. One of them is with regard to the nav database. In particular approaches with bad data points in them. I have done a screenshot to show an example. In the approach below there is a bad data point after D2520. I can delete (INTC) and DREXL and then insert DREXL again to fix it, but would have to do this every time I want to fly this approach. Is there any way to edit this and save it so I don't have to do this all the time? Thanks.

DA62 procedure turn issues

I recently purchased the Carenado da62. Was initially disappointed in the G1000 not being able to load or save flight plans but I finally accepted that. However I have noticed an issue with the G1000 and have reported it to Carenado but wanted to see if anyone else is having this issue. It is only happens with procedure turns. I have attached a screenshot to show the issue. The aircraft is headed toward the falia fix. The holding patters ( or what should be a holding pattern ) is depicted to the right of the course. But the holding pattern is not depicted as a race track as it should be. I have no idea what to call the shape other than really messed up. So my aircraft hits the fix and then follows the lower arc doing a 180 degree right turn. I thought Huh? After the turn it then did a 180 degree left turn and headed for the upper right point of the funny shaped holding pattern. Once it reached that it did a left hand turn to intercept the inbound course.

	https://photos.smugmug.com/Miscellaneous/Miscellaneous/i-vGNRZCV/0/41a652ab/X3/BZN Approach-X3.jpg

So it does complete the approach but the procedure turn is just really messed up. Does anyone else who has this aircraft have this same experience?

I'm a little frustrated with the Carenado da62. I'm flying a procedure turn to intercept an ILS course. Everything is tuned and identified. I have descended to the approach altitude, for the ILS 12 at KBZN that is 8100 ft. I fly outbound and reach the procedure turn point to turn inbound, execute the turn and set up the localizer intercept. I am on heading mode because the G1000 has really messed up procedure turns. Once close to the intercept I switch from heading mode to approach mode. The aircraft is of course below the glidepath as I have not reached the descent point. Yet when approach mode is engaged the aircraft starts to climb in an attempt to reach the glidepath. Why in the world is it doing this? Is there any way to stop it from doing this?

I finally got my FSX back working without major issues again. Different story that I will not go into now other than to say I am still buying time until building a new system around MSFS 2020. So no P3D as of yet.

I have the Carenado DA62 and the mods for GTN 750 installed, RXP. I believe there was a mod 1 and then a mod 2.

I had not flown this DA62 for over six months. I tried for over an hour today during a "refresher" flight to establish and then capture a target altitude with the AP. Never could. I am an experienced pilot and a highly experience sim pilot and have never hit this kind of AP ALT wall. I will not attempt to explain the iterations of setting an altitude, then attempting to use VS or Flight Level Change. I was never able to climb or descend to capture a target altitude. Every time I passed through the altitude without capture. At times I was able to establish a VS rate. At other times i could not. No idea why could vs could not. Similar results with FLC (flight level change) which tooltips as speed. Was only able to see it accept input perhaps twice out of ten or more attempts. No idea why sometimes successful, other times unsuccessful. When I say successful I mean I was able to make a selection with the button. Not that I was able to define a parameter that ultimately resulted in capturing a target altitude.

Any help would be appreciated. It's a sexy aircraft with good twin performance, especially economy. But it has to fire on all cylinders if you understand what I mean by that.

	Hi All,

Hoping somebody can help. My the nav map of the G1000 is not showing any ICAO identifying codes. The airport, VOR, intersection icons are show on the display but with no accompanying identifying code. I have tried the various declutter settings and none of them enable the ICAO codes to be shown. I cant find a setting anywhere that I may have accidently disabled them. I have successfully updated the nav data to the latest airac using my navigraph subscription.

Does anyone know if it is a bug that they are not shown (it would be pretty awful if this were the case)? Or any ideas of how to fix this?

	Many thanks,

First, this is one of the Carenado planes of which I'm not disappointed. I really enjoy it very much. But I noticed 2 major bugs in the FSX version:

	1. Flight plans are not loaded in the G1000

	2. Fuel from the aux tanks is not usable. You just can fill them, but I found no way to use the fuel. They seem to be not directly connect to the engines (like the real DA62) and the transfer pumps (from aus to main tanks) doesn't work.

Any idea how to fix it?

A new version of the Carenado DA62 GTN 750 v2.0 has now been published and is ready for download at the Flight1 File System Library website.

New features added to the original version of the GTN_MFDDA62VC:

The EIS gauges display have been revised to be use realistic parameters and limits, and programmed to be dynamic, i.e. coolant, fuel and gearbox temps will rise, and in cases overheat, fluid levels will be rise and fall. Gauges are “quieter”, less blinks, and programmed to be on when the engines are set to ON.

Two Aural alerts for Altitude Capture have been added to the autopilot function, one for 1,000 feet to capture, and another when the selected altitude is captured. You will need Doug Dawson’s xml sound gauges installed on your sim’s Gauges folder. It is available for free at his website.

The GTN750 HOME button is accessible using the MENU Button in right hand bezel (next to the DTO button).

A deicing gauge has been added to the System Page in the EIS as in the real aircraft, and initial quantity will be set at startup. Consumption rates are programmed exactly as in the real DA62 for each of the NORM, HIGH, and MAX modes. The deice fluid tank when full (37 liters) will last 180 minutes @ NORM, 90 minutes @ HI, and 30 min @ MAX. The Max button will operate for 120 seconds at a time (corrected from 20 sec. as originally set by Carenado).

The cabin flood light has been assigned to the flood light knob (fifth position ON, fourth OFF) the cockpit panel. When turned ON this way, the switches on the cabin ceiling are overridden. No more searching for the overhead switch in a cold and dark cockpit.

Forward strobes (landing) lights have been added, activated via the ELT ON position. The landing light switch is overridden by the strobe function, as the sim’s landing light variable is directly coded to the switch in the VC model, and the switch will move to the on position when landing lights are ON.

A push-back switch has been programmed to the pilots pedal adjustment switch. Left click toggles the push-back on or off, right click disables the Push back. The parking brake is released before starting the push-back.

Oxygen levels initial quantity and usage rate have been programmed.

The fuel statistics in the EIS have been corrected to properly display endurance and available range at current fuel flow rates.

The PFD’s XPDR mode (STBY,ON, ALT) will be switched to ON below 500’ AGL and to ALT mode over 500 feet.

Cosmetic changes to improve readability of the EIS pages.

An intermittent problem with the altitude hold in the autopilot was addressed and thoroughly tested.

Textures for the G1000 MFD are included for the reprogramming of the GTN 750 buttons (DTO, HOME, GPS source) as well as popup shortcuts to the GTN 650, the 2D MFD and a Wx Radar (BYOR).

Many other refinements and improvements in the Autopilot VNAV capabilities are now under beta testing, will be following soon. A glimpse of today's tests:

For RXP GTN users, I understand that renaming the GTN gauges in the panel.cfg is all that's required.

If you are interested in helping out with the testing, or have any questions, please PM me.

	Hello,

I am an aviation enthusiast and have recently acquired my Private Pilot Liscense. Therefore, I am looking for a study level general aviation aircraft for my fsx. I recently encountered with Carenado DA62 and while going through its features on the website, I was convinced. However, it is best to ask people if they have the same aircraft and facing some problems with the aerodynamics or avionics.

P.S: I have had really bad experience with the G1000s of the Carenado aircrafts.

Looks like a lot of hassles have been pointed out once more.

Now if we could add the Flight1 G1000 that has no issues with importing flightplans and is Navigraph enabled, than I may consider buying it.

I so wish Carenado would listen to their customers and fix those numerous issues that re-appear with their aircraft.

	Squak List:

Fuel issues. Engines only draw from Main tanks, with Fuel Low warning, even though Aux tanks are full. Aux pumps Inop.

Autopilot will track a flight plan, but the plan segments do not change when you reach a waypoint. The plane will turn to the proper course, but the magenta needle swings to point to the waypoint you just passed.

FLCH Mode will fly past selected altitude. When you dial in a desired altitude, then select FLCH, the plane should capture the current airspeed, hold it, and pitch up to the desired altitude, with a green FLCH mode, and a white ALTS mode. This doesn't happen correctly.

I own many Carenado products, and I am growing weary of paying to Beta Test their stuff. They always look fantastic, but perform very poorly. How hard is it to run a product through ALL normal procedures before releasing it?

I tried to install the gtn 750 just as a pop-up gauge. When I put in a flight plan the G1000 doesn’t follow it. None of my waypoints transfer to the mfd or pfd. It doesn’t give my distance and the flight director doesn’t move. Any help to get the GTN working would be appreciated.

In older G1000 planes Navigraph was an optional extension package. Now in the DA62 it's included by default. Does anybody know a trick how to deactivate or remove the Navigraph function to make the G1000 work without it?

Any tomato shade reflection profile for DA62 available? Also, is there a way to disable the knob indicators(the blue rounded indicator appear when hovering over knobs) on cockpit panels?

	Thanks.

	Dear community,

I have an issue with the DA62 G1000. Upfront, I am sorry that my description might sound confusing, the issue surely confuses me...

After entering an flightplan, taking off and engaging the AP, the AP follows the route nicely, however with a big BUT:

The PFD does not change to the next WP, the flightplan in the MFP does not switch to the next active leg. I can of course rectify this with choosing the active leg manually, but this is a nuisance especially on difficult SID and STAR.

What is even more confusing is that the distance calculations are completely off. The distances are calcuated from the departure airport to the next WP (if I knew how to attach files, I would attach 2 screenshots to demonstrate the issue).

I am completely lost why this is happening. I have even read through the official Garmin G1000 manual to find my error.

I think that I forgot something at the very beginning of the flight, like activating the flight plan or tell the FMS that I am taking off.

Is there anybody who can give me some advice here?

	Regards and merry christmas,

	Oliver

I've been having a lot of trouble with the DA62. In theory it should be a lovely little plane, but the Carenado implementation seems to be riddled with problems.

I have reported two problems to Carenado, the first was that the G1000 FPL options and after you put in waypoints it calculates the correct direction and distance, but then puts it into a different waypoint. The other problem is that the ailerons in my aircraft and stuck and although the aircraft flies ok it looks a bit dodgy.

Finally I have a problem whereby the MFD won't power up. The PFD is ok but the MFD remains black. I have reported this to Carenado but don't expect anything sorted soon.

Has anyone come across this problem, hopefully with a solution!

	Thanks
